What a fantastic gesture by Ronaldo to offer all his hotels in Portugal to be turned into coronavirus hospitals during the ongoing pandemic. He's also offered to pay for all the doctors and nurses who work there. This is so important to Portugal as they don't have the resources or the manpower to handle all the cases if and when the spread becomes more prevalent over here.
Like the Italians and the Spanish, a lot of the Portuguese live under the same roof as their mums and dads and that makes it important that the young generation do not pass the virus to the older, more vulnerable generation.
So well done Christiano.

My Mrs. always hated Ronaldo, seeing him as incredibly narcissistic, but this has actually caused her to reevaluate!

I think a lot of ‘hated’ players do a lot behind the scenes. Beckham and Rooney are 2 examples of players that step up with no fanfare and do their bit, I am sure there are plenty of others.

Ronaldo has always been a love him or hate him sort of figure. If he has played for your side you probably love him. He does come across as arrogant on the pitch. He also fits the tall, hansome and rich criteria which apparently automatically makes you a toss pot.

Yet, his off field persona seem very different to what many think. He is a dedicated footballer, not drinking or smoking. Working hard training to improve and leading a healthy life style.

He is a dedicated family man, while he does a lot for charity. He also always makes an effort with fans, signing autographs and posing for pictures. He also looks after the mascots well, always having a few words for them and looking after them.

I remember hearing a story about a 6 year old mascot who got stage fright before walking out with Ronaldo. Cristiano knelt down and told the boy he was scared too, and would the boy hold his hand and look after him as they went out. Which instantly made the kid feel 10 feet tall, the boy even asked Ronaldo if he would be okay when it was time for the mascots to leave the field.

As well as being a top player, Ronaldo has grown in to a top man. His parents should be proud.

This is so nice of him. Well done Ronaldo.

Is this true? I though the hotels had denied it .
Great gesture if it.

{Ed047's Note - every man and his dog are reporting its false 🤷‍♂️

Fake news. Even the hotel's dogs are reporting it's false.

I have 2 questions about this

How are dogs reporting this and who on earth reads and watches what dogs are reporting?

{Ed047's Note - it’s in the “Walkies Weekly” which is mostly written in “Paw” print mate.

The have a few million readers, when they haven’t ripped it out the letter box and chewed it to pieces that is, that is! 🤷‍♂️

Ec047 that's a lie. Everybody knows dogs can't turn pages with their paws.

{Ed047's Note - me lie, never! That’s a terrierable accusation 🤪

How is Sparky the wonderdog anyway?

{Ed002's Note - There is a damp spot he is dealing with.}

Sounds like a shaggy dog story to me.
