I hope a reporter asks Carrick if he was happy with the effort and work rate form his players today, if he was, then we are in serious trouble. We are back in the "we are all trying" gang of friends just having fun like when Ole was in charge.

I was never pro or against Carrick but he's not the guy to raise standards and bring the fight back to our club. Today was like a charity game, when no one cared and everyone was happy to stroll around and end with a draw, shocking.

I have a gut feeling that today is going to illustrate why failing to get backup for Shaw was a massive mistake. Cherki is a nightmare coming off the right, and I don't think Dorgu will be able to cope with him. Especially because Rashford isn't likely to give a massive amount of defensive help. I would have played Martinez at lb.

I would also have started with Sesko. If we're going to get anything from today, it will be on the break. Cunha plays to deep to exploit their high line, and we're also losing height on setpieces at both ends.
