glad we are taking a position and not getting skinned. I think the french international guy from Monaco might be a target, we tried to get him on loan last summer. name escapes me but he has one year left and refusing to sign a new contract.

The price PSG is asking is crazy.
I think they will lower their expectations, or they risk being stuck with him.
We do need new players, but we also need to show that we won't be robbed as we used to be. It will be a long process.

Our midfield options are eriksen, Casemiro, mctominay, kobbie, Bruno and mount…. we are screwed. Awful other than kobbie and Bruno, mount no idea where he plays and the others are woeful. Teams running free at our back 4 again next season.

Seen the Spanish guy Zubimendi mentioned as a possible alternative. But think his price is around the same as Ugarte.

Andre from fluminense seemed likely to Fulham but seems like that may not happen, Richard Rios from palmeiras but we'd have to over pay a little on wages and fee to get work permit, if it was me I'd look at Zubimendi we need a passer through midfield to stop Bruno having to drop deep.

Ahmad, you mean Youssouf Fofana, seemingly Monaco looking for approx 35m euros for him.
Have to say think that Zubimendi would be good shout, very good player and although similar price to Ugarte he offers more offensively, he's more of a Rodri type player.
Issue is whether he would want to leave Spain and come to us.

I predict we will sign Ugarte for ten mill less than they want in the coming weeks. Walking away is just a tactic. I have nothing but hope to base this on but glad we are not just paying whatever clubs want anymore.

You could well be right RWWD, after everything that SJR has said about paying excessive fees, he has to follow this through in his first transfer window in charge.
