Can any match going fans tell me why you are cheering carrick?

Agree7 Disagree0

Not a match going fan but tbf I think their intentions are good and trying to show support to a club great (as a player). However I think this support is being mistaken by the media and the club and turned into something else to suit their agenda. This time last year the media was all over RA and very little was said about the players, now it's carrick it's poor him, he needs to be supported and the players are a disgrace.

The players are not performing but that's what a manager is for and just find it amusing how the media can have such different narratives to the same situation.

Clearly the match going fans think the players are not putting in the required effort, and that they're letting Carrick down. Whether they think Carrick should remain or not, he's given the club everything as a player and that gets him some respect.

Carrick set the team up right in the first half yesterday, if Bruno didn't miss a sitter and Amad didn't miss 2 huge chances we would have been 3 up. Amad hasn't scored a goal this calendar year. Carrick isn't good enough and will be fired soon but the players are rightly taking the flack off their terrible performances.

I think the club should look to cash in on Amad, he picks up a fair few injuries and misses a lot of chances. His sale would also go down as pure profit for the club.

Come the January transfer window, the club need to move a few players. That is easier said than done. In hindsight, I bet the club wishbthat thyebhad sold Rashford for £13-£15 million to Barcelona now.

I think the club know why the fans are cheering Carrick and are not stupid to think it is anything other than support for a loved player who has not been supported properly by the club.
I doubt in the long run it will make any difference to whether they get rid of him but does allow them to carry on for now (likely to the international break).
The non match going fans and social media ones are definitely not voicing their support for him as manager, even if they lay the blame at the players/leadership/owners.

I am sure that this is allowing them time to plan the next move, if it is at the international break it will hopefully come quickly allowing that person the full window to at least plan.

Amad shouldn't be at the club.
It has been clear he isn't at the required level, sell him whilst he has some value.
Be ruthless.

Sunderland looking to buy in January.
Could be the ideal time to cash in on Amad and give Lacey a run.
