Martinez,
Who could disagree with what he said about the hierarchy? He is right, we have been lied to since the Glazers arrived, SAF didn't help because he won and failed to build for the future. This summer was an utter disgrace and yet not everyone agreed. I bet if i go back to where I said Tielemans and Santos were not the right choice, there will be some telling me how good they were. They were bargains, bargain basement buys. No LB or CF a disgrace but now when Martinez effectively says that some players are not good enough, its great.
The team leak yesterday showed there are issues in the players confidence, confidence lost not just with Wilcox but in the team selection, the tactics.
He has certainly chucked the likes of Wilkins and even Berrada under the bus. After what happened with Amorim i have no time for Wilcox at all.
However, Martinez has also chucked other players under the bus, the message is some of you are not good enough. Yes he is right but to come out like that will cause dressing room issues. It certainly will bring things to a head between players. It probably explains why they haven't been trying hard enough. The players don't believe in what has been happening; they don't believe there is an aim to win the big prizes. Neither do we.
People have tried to make out it helps Carrick. It certainly doesn't. Basically it shows Martinez doesn't have a high level of respect for Carrick. He would never have dared do that with a serious manager in place. By implication he includes Carrick in the issue.
Yes Martinez is right and there will be some notable fallout. Likely he will be initially suspended and then sold. But it brings it to the fore now. let's hope they deal with it, don't brush it under the carpet. Thing is, it is now almost open warfare now, the fans hold the same opinion as Martinez. It cannot seriously be ignored.
If Wilcox and Carrick are not gone by weekend, then its just another fudge. Berrarda can wait.

Carrick will be gone before Christmas, but Wilcox won't. He has Ratcliffe's ear and has convinced him that they can get success on the cheap. INEOS have shown what they're about in France. Cutting everywhere they can, and blaming managers and players when it doesn't work.

Wilcox going nowhere according to Simon stone. Carrick will be offered up in the coming weeks and the blame all shifted to him. We'll then get someone new in, make big promises but again fail to deliver. The man united cycle everyone. Unless the ownership changes we will still be here 20 years from now. It's depressing!

We all know Wilcox has to go. Don't let journalists with self interest convince you that anything else will happen.
Wilcox out.
New director of football can fix the rest.
I don't trust Wilcox to make any more key decisions. Simple as that.

Or maybe Carrick is happy with the outburst because it might compel the owners to actually buy him defensive reinforcements and a striker
As others including pundits have said it doesn't matter who is the manager if he has not got the right resources to use. I fully expect Wilcox to survive.
Carrick too in the short term if reinforcements are brought in because if the team fails to perform after new blood he will then be a scapegoat with no way to go but out the door.

Carrick should back Martinez's comments at this moment Wilcox can't sack a second manager for speaking out against him.

Publicly calling out your superiors can only ever end one way. But I suppose you're right, Johnreese. Carrick is as good as gone anyway. If he really cares about the club, contributing toward Wilcox's departure is about the best thing he can do for it at this point.
