Possibly, and to be frank, that would be best for all involved, I think. Although I wonder whether Barcelona will want to stick to the original agreement (that has expired), or whether they will try and get him for less than the original amount agreed.

Barca have signed Gordon and Adyemi, and are still in for Rodri and Alvarez.
That ship has sailed for Marcus. Reintegration back into the squad, whether fans like it or not, is the only real option left for now.
Maybe a deadline day panic buy from an PL club who can afford his wages.

Fallguy, I think that's what's gonna happen, last few days of window, he goes.
But the club will have had to sign a replacement for him. That's the only thing. All good letting him go, but we need another forward in there too.

An in-form and motivated Rashford adds a lot to the squad in terms of assists and goals.
I'm sure we've got lots of deals lined up that are contingent on other deals happening, such as Rashford moving on.
Could actually be a really fun transfer deadline window this year?

I rewatched one of his final games for us v Everton where he scored 2. He didn't look like a fella strolling around the pitch without a care for the club.
If he does play again, and scores a few goals, all will be forgotten.
