Watching the Ivory Coast match and can see Diomande, the Leipzig player, has a lot of ability, but he is still very young and far from the finished article. I think he should stay with Leipzig another year or so, and then maybe we should bid for him, but I think another top club will try seriously hard to get him now, even though he is raw.

Red Man, you are probably right that he will be signed by them or someone else. For his personal development, I would love to see him signed by us and then loaned to Leipzig or another club to let him mature a little. Then come to us when we will have seen whether Carrick is a really good manager or have one in place.

Good player, but not enough converge yet to justify spending that sort of money on him imo. He could become another Pepe or Januzaj as easily as the next Hazard.
Too high risk in our position imo.
He has not achieved anything in the game yet, really. Very highly rated by those that should know, but he is one id definitely pass on for the moment.

We are nowhere near the position of signing that sort of player and crossing our fingers. We're just not in that position at this time. We need some decent, experienced players that hit the ground running to go straight into our first 11.
Casemiro's chat was good. He said Mainoo is fantastic and can be whatever he wants, got everything but needs pushing all the time, on the pitch and in training... That explains why all Mainoo's best games are next to Casemiro, which is concerning, because a new player in won't be Casemiro, who has seen it all and done it all.
The new player will be concerned about himself, not pushing Mainoo through games.
Let's hope Mainoo takes it on board and works on that part of his game, but I am concerned if that penny will drop. You're either that way or not; Mainoo seems a bit too laid back for his own good. Let's hope, though.

I maintain we need a centre forward, young quick goal scorer. Can't go into the next season with just Sesko.
That would be a priority over a left winger for me.

We need an experienced striker with pace. And he will start most of the games. Sesko has so much to learn. Plus, we need an experienced CB with pace, a new midfielder, and another GK. It is quite a big shopping list, but we can’t afford any of the potential buys in our position. We need players straight into the starting 11.
