Well, both teams should have scored more, Bryan certainly should have a hat trick to his name.

It became a bit like a basketball match towards the end and certainly should of satisfied those who want to be entertained above all else.

Lammens pulled of a couple of good stops and certainly has had a first season of high promise, seems to be an excellent signing. Both full backs had decent games, Shaw took his goal really well. Licha moved the ball well but I would like to see a top quality CB come in this summer.

What to say about Bruno, equalling the assist record and it should of been at least 3 today. Kobbie, I thought was good, particularly first half. Casemiro had a steady final OT game, would love to see his replacement be Anderson who looks top quality, he had a very good game and his crossing was excellent.

It's said he is nailed on for City and if so hope we go for Mateus Fernandes, he looks a top prospect, cheaper if West Ham go down, but have to say would love to see Spurs make the drop.

Obvious delight at Bryan scoring, as said, he should have had 3. Cunha also looked good running at them, he does have that air of unpredictability about him. Whilst Amad was better today, a return of 2 goals and 2 assists all season is not good enough. He will have to significantly improve next season or he could be on his way.

A reasonable overall performance today, but we must improve defensively next season, 66 goals scored so far this season is excellent, 3rd highest in league but 50 conceded, far to many. Forwards win you matches but your defenders win you leagues.

Agree with most of what you say, but defensively, our full backs, like most of the season, have not stopped crosses enough. Our bench is weak, and we need backup for Sesko.

Anderson looked very special. If there is a chance, United shouldn't bulk at the fee and go all in on him.

17 May 2026 18:25:01
Anderson came and found Carrick for a post game hug. Didn't look like a nailed on City player to me. He would be a very good replacement for Cas.

I think Anderson looked very good today.

We've got to at least go for him.

If not, I'd go all in for Tonali or Guimares at Newcastle. (Plus 1-2 others). I like the idea of two top additions, and Hackney, who has been mentioned before.

Ugarte and Zirkzee both undoubtedly off too, so we do need another forward. Maybe Carrick and Rashy can make up, and help him build bridges here, if Barca don't buy him.

Anderson was very good. Would love him at United, but if City come calling, I'd imagine he's off there.

I wouldn't be sad to see Amad move on this summer. Seems a good lad, but if the aim is to challenge for top honours, he is way below the standard needed.

But, as there are many other spots needed more urgently, he will have another year to show the drastic improvement needed.

DodgyBanter, really hope you turn out to be right re Anderson, would love to see him at O.T. next season. If we did buy him at the rumoured £120m, I can't see another 2 midfielders coming in.

Another midfielder I like is Ederson of Atalanta. I think he is an excellent defensive No 6. It's rumoured we are in discussions with his agent. Given his contract situation, he is supposedly available for £40m. That would be perfect for us, as it's said we have allocated £150m for the purchase of midfielders. I would bite your hand off for those two and not worry about a third.

If we could get Nico Schlotterbeck for centre back at about £60m (I know he has just signed a new contract, but give it a try), and another player we are supposedly keen on, Morgan Rogers for £80m, that would be a total of £300m. A total I think we will spend.

If any monies from sales could be spent also, then I would go for full backs. If only one could be bought, then a right sided one.

Think that would give us a very good base to move on with.

Reckon this buying of players is quite easy really. Don't know what all the fuss is about!

Anderson hugging Carrick is not nec significant.

Can't see us signing him and Ederson.

If I were Anderson, and had the chance to be schooled by Pep, I would go to City, knowing I would come out a better player.

With Villa in the Champions League again, I think Rogers will stay there for one more season. He is in a settled team who play him to his strengths with an excellent manager.

17 May 2026 22:00:24
Do you think Pep will be there much longer? One more year at most, one more week possibly.

17 May 2026 22:49:13
Rather Anderson than Baleba + Rogers.

Spend your money wisely on the right player that we need.

17 May 2026 22:50:37
Salford, is Pep going to be there, though? Even if so, it will only be for 1 more season.

Why would we not sign Anderson and Ederson? It's pretty clear we are certainly going for 2 midfielders, and they would complement each other with differing styles.

As for Rogers, he may well stay, but, seemingly, to comply with Financial Regulations, Villa will have to sell a big-ticket player to enable them to refresh their squad.

M.C. is looking for a left-sided player, and knows him from his Middlesbrough days, and Wilcox played a role in his development at City, so he is known by them, and, equally, Rogers knows them. Also, Rogers has the flexibility to play in different positions and could cover Bruno Fernandes, if needed. You can see why there is interest in him from the club.

Time will tell.

Rodgers is multifunctional, and would be a great addition, imo. Anderson is fantastic.
I think Pep will jump ship, and if he does, things could get tricky there. I'm not sure he will head to City, I think we will get him. But if his mind is made up on City, we need to move on quickly.

The game was entertaining, but it was because they could play with freedom.

Maguire is dipping, and Licha was far superior to him yesterday. We will need to continually assess his form over the coming season. He cannot be first choice.

Amad, I have said before, is not up to it. Maybe he needs a goal to break the dip, let's see. If he is happy with squad status, which I think he will be, then keep him for another season.

Yes, the FBs were good yesterday. Keep them as back ups for another season, unless we have takers for them.

It was good to see Mount come on and do a job, and not get injured. More of the same against BHA, and hopefully someone comes in for him too.

Glad Mbeumo got a goal, he needed that.
