So, the Bruno poll. 118 votes with 81% of people saying we should sell him.

I'm split on a Bruno, he's a big girl's blouse and he gives the ball away a lot, but his goals and assists numbers are staggering, if he goes he will leave a big creative gap to fill.

This squad is in no position to let someone like Bruno go. He has his downsides but relying on the recruitment to replace someone that contributes as much as him is nearly impossible.

The majority would have choose Wirtz to replace Bruno last year if they could have cherry picked someone. Look at how poor he's been, albeit adapting to a new league. The numbers, work rate, heart and soul Bruno brings to the club can't be understated.

We all watch Lingard play behind the striker for a couple of years. No goals or assists in 18 months. That could be the alternative if we don't find a successor. Even players like Wharton or Anderson would improve our midfield but not as a replacement for a creative outlet like Bruno.

If we didn't need full backs, two centre midfielders and possibly a wide forward, I would say we could let him go. But the sheer amount of influence he has on the pitch and I'm sure off it too, is too valuable to roll the dice because people want a fresh face.

If he stays, would have no qualms with that, quality player.

Just think the player and team are worlds apart in their ambitions at the moment. We need a pretty comprehensive rebuild and Bruno at 31/32 has a few years left at the top to win major honours.

Would expect him to move to a big club on the continent to try and win something substantial or just call it a day at top level football and move to Saudi Arabia for the money.

81% of people are wrong then. Bruno owes the club nothing. If he decides to stay we should be thrilled. If he leaves we should use the money wisely. But he's the one player who consistently delivers.

The whole assumption that we need to sell Bruno in order to be able to invest doesn't have a basis. As such we should be looking to add to our group of good players, not lose any of them.

Bruno has great numbers for sure. How have the team done.
No cf has excelled in front of him.
No cm has excelled alongside him
No wingers have done well outside of him.
Football is a team game.
4 or t managers
Over 20 players signed since him and still no telling with him.
Mctominay didn't excel alongside him.
So bruno has great numbers the team and nobody else has done well.
Its a weird one but Manchester united have never competed for the top prizes worth him in our team.
Normally world class players get more from those around them and help them lift their game but its never really happened for any player playing with bruno at united.
Cunha and mbeumo both not scoring more despite bruno being better than any individual at Brentford or wolves.
I think the question is a fair one.

Why has no other player or the team ever performed consistently well with bruno in it?
Im Just offering a different perspective.
Did salah replace the irreplaceable suarez?
Did dembele replace mbappe?
Cantona irreplaceable was replaced.
There is no player in the world irreplaceable never mind won that's never won a league as part of a team.
Google all the wc players to never win a league.
Greizman Gordon banks and booby Moore were the best of them.
He has been a shining light in a bad team for 7 years.
Id love to see him win the big trophies and how he would fit into a winning team and how he would have to adapt his game.
If he played in midfield for Madrid his numbers would not be what they are at united imo but he could be part of a winning team.

Ken I agree to an extent. No player is bigger than the club. But we are in a fragile position and need our better players. If we qualify for CL and can get in the pick of midfielders then ok, but there are so many assumptions to the question. If Bruno wants to stay then I really don't think we should consider selling him.

Liverpool were the same when Gerrard was leaving, how could they ever replace their talisman. Probably the best thing that could’ve happened to them.

Don if he wants to stay and sign a contract I've no issue if he wants to stay to see out his contract then i'd rather sell.

I think Booby Moore might be that drag queen you once met Ken.

Good post Ken, Bruno is Juan Sebastian Veron. The only difference being that he couldn't displace Keane or Scholes nor replace our attackers or wingers so a world class talent moved on.

It's much easier for Bruno to look like a world ie when he's the only person receiving the ba as they expect him to do something g with it, but as per the stats that originally put United off signing him the summer before, he gives the ball away constantly and is a bad fit for a team structure in a team looking to rebuild rather than plug a hole.
