Lots of suggestions for the squad
Can't see Guehi signing for a team unless they are virtually guaranteed to be playing Champions League or Europa League. We are not at that level
Baleba has regressed. Young player so may come good but his mental strength has to be questioned if he can't put last summer behind him and turn up for Brighton. Playing for Utd is a whole diff level of pressure.
Branthwaite is again a risky purchase. Is he really as good as some say or yet another overhyped player because he is English. Jury out for me on that one
More fundamentally why can't our scouting dept find top players like Brighton /Palace/Bournemouth amongst others seem to but who don't cost the earth. I know there is less pressure to come in and immediately be successful at those clubs but when was the last time we had a Schmeichel, Solsjaer or Ronny Johnson signing?

Think guehi had his sights set on Liverpool.
Baleba as much as I wanted him in the summer would be 3 or 4 choice on the list
Branthwaite is a good player by all means but ain't worth the money and has had Injuries too.

I actually think we will make a play for Guehi in Jan, along with Semenyo and Anderson.
Would be very happy with that as a window.

Dont really see Palace selling Guehi now, might as well let him go on a free. 6 months left on his contract and any minimal fee you get for him will be outweighed by the extra 2-5 places in the league they will finish higher with him in the team and potentially getting european football again.
Anderson as well with forest in europe, makes no real sense for them to let him go, also he is firmly in the mix for England, no point putting that in jeopardy by joining a new club in Jan.
Hopefully we make a move for Semenyo and we can shift fully to this hybrid 4-3-3/3-4-3 system Ruben is trying to implement. Last two games have been promising but seeing Dalot at right wing yesterday was a bit underwhelming.

I kept looking at the set up yesterday with Dalot on the right wing and thought ‘how good would this be if that was Semenyo? ’ Made a mockery of the people saying we won’t need anyone in that position. We should have quality and quality back ups all across the pitch.

Jim you think we will or you want us to or you would if you were in charge. They are 3 very different things. Considering we have not been linked at all i'd say its 1 of the latter 2 and definitely not the 1st one.

I understand we have also been assessing them.
I would love them all yes.
If I were manager I would also be going for them.
But none of that matters, what matters is what the club do.
We don't have to wait much longer to see which course they take.
Semenyo will be wrapped up, one way or another early.
We have to buy a midfielder
I think we will make a move to beat the European elites to Guehi as he is perfect for our team.

DSG, you think if Anderson had the chance to play for united in Jan he would stay to play a low level European comp?
Moving to united would only increase his chances of playing for England IMO.
Seems illogical to suggest he wouldn't want the move.

We might make a move for Guehi but I very much doubt he makes or wants the move to us!
Anderson will wait till World Cup, if he plays well then every club in Europe will want him, so doubt he chooses us
Baleba gone backwards, but going backwards is RA trend so he will like that
I am not convinced Semenyo will want to be a wing back, why would he!

Jimbo, Anderson is already an established international as a Forest player. Even if Forest get relegated he'd doubtless move next summer.
Guehi, Anderson and Semenyo in Jan? I'd be stunned with just one!
