Fingers crossed for Sesko

The Boy can hit them and for a 6' 5 Man has great ball control.

We have had plenty of games over the years where we have been shouting if not in the stadium at our TVs to hit the F. n Ball.

Well fellow Fans
This boy can hit them and he will prove his doubters wrong.

Composed like Berba, Arrogance of Bergkamp and the finishing of Van Persie I am hopeful this young man will find his feet.

I don't want to say the word rhyming with Hop so I'm going to bring luck and go on Book to say

Benjamin Sesko cones to UTD he will Cook.

Oh Grim he scored great headers also

Fingers ?.

only ever seen him on you tube so really can't judge -but as i posted last week rarely seen anyone hit a ball so hard. still think for the money we could have almost got watkins and guehi if we pushed or guehi -ederson - but let's see.

Only seen clips of him Red over the last few seasons, doesn’t seem afraid of a shot from the edge of the box, but his team didn’t seem to utilise his height advantage, assume more crosses into the box for him to attack would be one of his strengths.

We need a new attack after the dismal displays up front last year and hopefully the new front three will form a good partnership.

Assuming we get Sesko, if that's the front three we go with then I couldn't be more excited to see them in action. Maybe would have preferred Gyokeres, but in terms of age and that dreaded potential word Sesko is an exciting player. I genuinely don't think we could have done much better. It's a front three to be feared rather than laughed at, and there are options too, obviously Bruno and Diallo are excellent in the 10s too.

He has all of the physical and technical skills needed to be one of the best strikers in the world.

Tall, strong, great in the air, but very quick and technically gifted. Normally a taller player will suffer with not as good speed or technically ability, it's rare to get all of those skills to the level he has them in the same player. The only thing he doesn't have is rapid acceleration over short distances, which isn't uncommon amongst taller players. It takes them a few more strides to get up to speed. It was something you could actually see with Usain Bolt being taller than average for a sprinter. He was rarely in first place at 10 or 20 metres, but once he got up to speed he blasted past everyone.

The thing to remember though is to not put too much expectation or pressure on him. He is young and still developing. He, like all young players, lacks consistency. One minute you'll see a silky touch, turn and a perfectly stuck shot, the next he'll be clumsy and give the ball away. That is the nature of young players, and we have to accept that.

I remember when Ronaldo first signed for us, he was clearly a supremely gifted player, but he'd frustrated us as often as he would delight us. I think many fans have short memories and remember the final few seasons when he was a genuine world class player and forget the frustration he would give us at times when he was younger.

Sesko might become one of the best strikers in the world, but that is 2-3 years away, if he gets there.

We will need to remember that, I think we forgot it pretty quickly with Højlund.

The only thing that might hold Sesko back is his mentality. Now I'm not saying he has a bad attitude or mentality. Just that to be an elite player you need that elite mentality otherwise it doesn't matter how much talent you have you won't fully realise that talent without the right mentality.

Does he have that hunger, that desire, that fire in his belly. He'll need it to give him the resilience needed to take the criticism he will receive and use it as fuel to train harder. To get him out of bed, even on the days he doesn't feel up to it and still give his all in training. To take the knocks and get back up. To give him the thirst for knowledge to listen to every coach, to take on board their comments, and to work on those things. That hunger to make that ball busting run while exhausted in the 89th minute, despite you not getting the rub of the green in that game, but in the hope that this will be the chance that falls just right for you to score.

That is my only real criticism of him from the limited games I've seen of him. I haven't seen that burning desire to score as many goals as possible. The best strikers play like they NEED to score not like they want to score. They are desperate for it, like a drug addict, but their addiction is goals. As I've said before right now he is a scorer of great goals, but not a great goalscorer.

He'll score 2 or 3 goal of the season contenders at least. Those 35 yard thunderbolts hit into the top corner that nearly tear the net. But he doesn't score many scrappy tap ins. Does he have that fox in the box instinct to just know where the space will open up or to chase down every shot to score the rebound.

Hopefully that is something he works on if he joins and something Amorim and his coaches can develop in him. If he gets that hunger, that burning desire to score with every half chance then he will become the best striker in the world. Both a great goal scorer and scorer of great goals.

You can’t coach that fox in the box to any striker who don’t naturally possess that skill, you can make them a bit better at it, but that’s all you either have that natural ability or not, I would have preferred a more experienced CF one who gets all sorts of goals, I fear that him Cunha and Mbuemo will only get 10-15 goals each this season and we are going to let in much more with our poor GK’s defenders and midfield, who all lack pace and mobility the ones that don’t lack that are extremely raw, I know your all excited about possible forward line, but I have serious concerns for this team and the way it’s being built, for the life of me I can’t understand.

Would have liked him first time round, rather than Hojlund, but it is what it is.
