I know this is a united page but god are PSG a joy to watch. Egos all gone and now they're a hardworking, organised exciting unit. Conversely Madrid with mbappe now look like the psg side he was in.

You can just see how well coached they are, organised disciplined, technically brilliant, but every last one of them works their socks off. You can see they enjoy it too, both sides of the game. No egos just working to a plan. Conversely Madrid look like a bunch of individuals with a few big time Charlie’s who leave the donkey work to the rest. Hopefully something for us to aspire to in some small way. ??.

Jimbo - I absolutely agree with you. PSG made some major changes in direction to get them where they are. If we believe we have the manager then we need to give it time with the right players.
For Mbape you can replace with all of the freedom 5 players we have for improving by removing.
PSG have the benefit of being able to do this whilst in a league where there dips are not as probounced but the sentiment is the same.

All true they have a few advantages over us for sure.
First as pointed out their league is nowhere near as physical or pressured
Second there are only a few decent teams in their league meaning they can take their foot off the gas and rest players more easily especially for the big champions league games
Third they have bought really good quality technically skillful players who are prepared to work and more importantly listen to the manager
Fourth having had the Neymars and Mbappes who have failed to deliver the fans have not got on the managers back when things were not so rosy but given him the time and space to do his thing
And finally and probably most crucially the manager was FULLY backed by the board to get rid of and bring in all the players he wanted.

I agree with you Brad but they need to actually get him the players that suit his way of playing,
80 percent of this squad can’t and have shown they can’t play in any system.

Can’t agree that 80% of the players can’t play in any system, they are professional footballers, I am sure they can play a bit, you don’t get to be a professional footballer in the EPL without being able to play, they don’t suit us is another story and not to our liking maybe, but to say 80% can’t play is pushing it a bit…
We have some decent players, not many that would get in any top 4 team I grant you, but not that bad, I think there is a serious culture problem at United more than the poor players, as bad as last season squad is, they should be doing better than 15th, there is a problem that’s for sure, hopefully that’s being worked on.

We can’t keep blaming the culture of the club or the manager it’s been the same issue for more than 10 years.
When is it actually the players and that they are simply not good enough?
We have players that are bottom half of the table players with the exception of about 5
I agree with you that there is a problem but this problem has been there for over a decade.
We all thought this new structure would bring better stability with Ineos coming in and all there promises,
Nothing has changed and those promises they made are not being delivered
Even the interview barrada gave not to long ago, he said we had a plan for any situation, what is the plan?
5 weeks away from the start of the season, I might be being a tad negative but I’ve been positive as much as I can, nothing has changed in the 18 months Ineos have been here and these were supposed to be better than the glazers and the people they employed.

The onus is on them to prove it to us Bolger, for sure. Worst epl finish. Falling out with several supposed stars at the club. New management team, then sacking two key members (manager and director of football) .
New management need to win over the fans and show that we are on the right path.
It would be wrong to judge them before the end of the window, but it is not looking good so far in a critical window for them.
I just keep reminding myself that Salah was something like 5th choice for liverpool, so miracles can happen ?.

No don’t get me wrong I never wanted Ineos from day one, always thought they would be worse, but we have them so have to stick with it, I am hoping that they do have a plan and are hard working on them behind closed doors, I honestly feel they are not 100% sold on Mbeumo that’s why that not finalised…
SJR was never ever going to be a good fit, for the fans or the club, he penny pinched every business he involved with.

We have to see it through, chopping and changing managers and management team does not help. In the end it does take time even for the right team to sort the issues right.
We do need to see some green shoots of something different come the new season though.

The Mbeumo deal is close to resolution, we offered £55m + add ons, Brentford want £65m.
Rumour is we are settling around £62m + add ons. United preseason starts in Sweden next weekend and they fly to the US a few days after and they will want him on that trip, so it should get sorted out in the next few days.
