Gyokeres has said no to United and made it clear he prefers a move to Arsenal.
Osimhens wages and fee are huge.
Ekitkie the asking price is huge.
Is there anyone else we could be looking at? If not then it might just be another season of hojlund incoming.
Get the feeling the club thought we'd get delap, decent option at a good price, now that's gone we are shopping at the higher end of the market and I don't think that's where we are right now.
How would we feel if we didn't get a 9 in? For me it's better to get the right one in than waste millions on the wrong player. We've been there too many times b4.

Gyokeres has not said no. His preferred destination is arsenal. However I imagine if they get sesko he will reevaluate his options.
That being said, if Arsenal is his preferred destination. I very much doubt we will keep trying.
What with the noises coming out of the club most recently being that we will not be going for players who do not see us as their preferred option.

Have never seen him Ed001, but believe he is very highly regarded, with West Ham, among others, supposedly looking to sign him. Apparently Saint Etienne will accept reasonable fee for him following their relegation.
You would hope the club would be aware of, and follow players like this. Suspect someone with more experience would be wanted though. Rumour that Sporting are looking at him to replace Gyorekes!

Fairly simple in my eyes:
Osimhen would be incredible in the PL, but expensive.
Ekitike is ABYSMAL. A poor man’s Hojlund.
Mateta is a no go. Not a goal scorer.
Toney and David far better options than Ekitike or Mateta.
So:
1. Osimhen
2. Toney
3. David
4. Bruno as a F9 and invest in Mbuemo and Baleba.

Good shout ed. I quite like Jonathan David, not sure what the craic is with him atm. TBH there’s none of them I’m totally sold on, there’s an element of risk with any of them.

I am not even sure if it's a story that Gyokores prefers Arsenal. I always felt that if it was a straight choice between United and Arsenal then it would be Arsenal. I only felt he would come to United I Arsenal went elsewhere and assuming no other Big team came in for him.

Zirkzee in the F9 will be better than Bruno, providing we have quality in the 10's.
But, for the games where we require an out and out 9, what are the options. Obi and Rasmus. I see we are getting the 18yo from France, but surely not.
I would not be against a Mateta to have another option in games, but are there better options out there (? ), within our reach, financially and logically.
What are the options Ed, for an out and out 9, who won't hinder the progress of the Obi's and is someone the Obi's can learn off?

If Arsenal get Gyokeres, that means Sesko would probably be available?
Although I think Gyokeres is a backup plan for Arsenal if they don’t get Sesko.

Martinez is a great shout, with Rasmus offered the other way, either on loan or permanently would be perfect.
In fairness, we don't need a top top quality striker, just one who knows where to be and where the goal is. Be in the right places etc, not a game changer type player.

Zirkzee can't be our first choice striker next season, 3 league goals last year lol and I've seen more intense beach football players.
Osihmen or Mateta.
Last resort, sign Welbeck back and fast track Chido Obi.

Seriously. you just said we don’t need a top top quality striker, well none of the ones we even been mentioning are top top strikers, but we seriously need a striker, or we just give up min of 15 goals a season and go with Zirkee who might get what 5 at best! Yeah that be great move, so what we need Cunha to get 20, just to stay bottom half of league…delusional.

I'll say again, Zirkzee is not playing in the F9 to be our striker. that's what the likes of Cunha are there for.
People refer back to his stats, just watch him play. When the team ticks, it will be Zirkzee turning the cogs.

Keep Zirkzee by all means, he is ok but and a big but he isn’t a centre forward goal scorer. Definitely improved since arriving but if that is what we start the season with up front we will struggle.

He was injured for part of last season and scored 10 goals with 4 assists in I think 29 games. He didn't always start a game and was playing in such a poor team that they changed their manager well into the season.
