Everyone is calling for ten hags head, being realistic who comes in and changes things? There aren't many available good managers. Tuchel didn't want us in the summer I doubt he would have changed his mind. Potter, Southgate, zidane and blanc aren't good enough imo. Leads me on to rvn, heard a lot of people backing him but I'm not convinced, I don't like coaches taking over from the guy who's been sacked, it will be the same, he's one of the guys leading training and it will be much of the same.
I'd get ole back or bring in keano until the end of the season. Keano loves the club and would ruffle a few feathers but he would sort the men from the boys and he understands what the badge on the front of the shirt means and would expect nothing but 100 commitment.

Danny, you’d do a special job to find someone who could make us worse I guess.

I don’t think there is an ‘obvious’ replacement, but that isn’t our job to find out, we’ve appointed top people in those jobs to make that decision.
What is obvious is that the right man isn’t Erik Ten Hag, people are saying he’s saved his job with a turgid draw at Villa, give me a break, we were horrendous and if they put that chance away at the end sky would be saying he should be sacked, but they don’t do he says, it’s crazy.
We were shocking today, since the start of his time in charge if we attack we can’t defend and concede goal after goal and if we defend we are so boring that it makes you want to turn the tv off as we don’t attack at all. We can’t be strong at the back and also score goals and he will never find a way of doing that if he hasn’t in over 2 years. Time to move on.

Caolan, that just isn't true. There are thousands who would do a far worse job.
In fact every single one of the reported 1 billion Manchester United fans worldwide for a start, myself included.
There are maybe only a handful of top level football managers who have the ability to manage a club the size of ourselves.
Everyone else will fail. Are any of those handful available AND willing to join us? Probably not.
Which means we would be swapping a manager who doesn't look good enough for another who won't be good enough.
I get that fans are frustrated, but I'm not sure there is much point in the club spending millions of pounds to sack EtH and replace him with someone who will equally struggle to deal with the same problems EtH is struggling with.

Keane and Ole are definitely not the answer as managers. Truth is that even Pep would find it difficult to turn this juggernaut round.

Now we wait to see what the people in charge want to do so. Personally i think it was a good point and pretty astute tactical set up. Many here had us getting ripped to shreds and will have to find something else to moan about. Don't let the narrative and bs that Villa were tired and hence played poorly being the reason.
Generally when a team plays poorly it has something to do with the other team and they played at home in Europe, had an extra days rest and if they were tired then we must have been shattered playing a day later away at Porto.
Any other team manager and if they had made changes with evans getting MOTM would be getting plaudits, unfortunately the narrative for us becomes about who has been dropped instead and what they cost. Make no mistake both Martinez and De ligt had a mare vs Spurs and deserved to get dropped.
A season is 38 games and not 7. People who scream the house is on fire are so over the top. Some of the early season results are not a real indication of where teams will finish in this league imo.
I watched liverpool vs Palace. They won but did not deserve it at all, we drew against palace and we played them better and deserved much more but that's football.
I also watched spurs completely collapse vs brighton and hard to explain why a team that looked pretty good for 30 minutes 2-0 up just collapses but it happens.
Watched city steal 3 points vs Fulham at home.
ATM no one will talk about much of this stuff and we are the news and always the news cycle.
Another international break unfortunately and pretty sure we will see lots of wild bs stories and some real news.

Changing the manager doesn't guarantee a turn around, just look at what happened with Ralf Rangnick, but I agree a change needs to happen.
These aren't bad players, what they need is a leader both on and off the pitch, currently they have neither.

Snappy are we football managers at the highest level of the game? No.
Pointless response.
