Brandon Williams had a shocker. Good experience for the boy to learn from.
I understand the need to rotate. 2 days is hard to recover and we have another game in 2 days.

The game lacked quality until Bruno came on. He was on another level to rest of the players on the pitch.

Agree2 Disagree0

He's a young lad just playing too many games and in a very demanding position as that. Considering how Lingard/ Perreira having shockers throughout the season, it's not that bad.

{Ed047's Note - if posters didn’t go over board to start with it wouldn’t be so bad.

The guys young and needs time to see if he will actually turn into a quality player rather than labelling him as that in his first few games.

TRD totally agree BW struggled but good experience for him in those conditions.

Cannot make excuses for Periera, Lindelof or Lingard they were and have been so many times this season simply awful. OGS I think knows this but with the squad so thin and so many games to play I do not think he has much of a choice.

I do however think that Ighalo looks like a tall Paul Ince:-)

most of the team struggled last night, shocking performance against an average team.

An average team that went 2-0 up at the Bernabeu only a few months ago, they looked like they had some quality to me, we weren't great and they aren't a great side but 1-1 and bring them back is an alright result.

Agree GDS.

Am's goal was also good to see. Aggressive pressing from a throw in, afterburners and cool finish.

When I first saw it I thought their goal should have been a corner to us. We should be able to defend a goal kick though.

Williams was awful, we should sell him as soon as possible.

A winter break is good for the legs, but you can lose a little bit of match sharpness. I think the rotation last night had more to do with making sure a few of our squad players can blow out the cobwebs, give them some minutes, and hopefully if we need them in a few weeks time it means it hasn't been 5 or 6 weeks since they last kicked a ball competitively.

The side looked very disjointed, yet we got an away goal and a draw. So should have more than a decent chance of finishing off the tie back at Old Trafford.

Three weeks ago I would have said winning the Europa league was our best chance of getting into the UCL next year.

Yet now, with Bruno looking good and McTominay back soon, coupled with us beating Chelsea, Spurs losing all the players they can rely on to score, and Arsenal in utter disarray I think there is still too good a chance to get top four in the league to just give up on it and focus on the Europa league. Winning cups is tough, you only need one off day and your out. Add to all this that 5th might get UCL football if City don't over turn their ban or it only gets reduced to one season.

{Ed047's Note - Arsenal in utter disarray! 😂😂😂😂

21 Feb 2020 18:53:07
gds if they were that good how come they did not get out of the group then.

21 Feb 2020 22:30:57
Ed047, sorry I hadn't checked the table when I made that comment. Arsenal have drawn HALF there games and have only won one more than they lost, sitting in 10th placed. Your right Arsenal are having a great season.

I like Arteta, he seems like a nice guy. But he is an Arsene Wenger lite. You still have the same problem since Viera and Gilberto left, soft centered and fold when the going gets tough. I don't think Arteta is the guy to change that.

I guess we'll see.

{Ed047's Note - no worries mate, it’s not the first time you’ve got something wrong🤦‍♂️

It must be all of those 4 points ahead of us with the well oiled supremely coached and fabulous squad you have that let’s you get a little over excited. 😂😂

22 Feb 2020 14:46:02
Lol - shows how far Arsenal have fallen that you don't think you are in utter disarray just because you are within 4 points of Utd!

A decade ago that would have been a good return Ed, you might want to recallibrate your targets!

{Ed047's Note - I don’t need to calibrate anything DB I didn’t once mention we were having a great season, Shappy kindly introduced that into the matter. I’m not trying to kid myself how good or bad we are.

That I leave for you guys and United.

My actual point being, if we’re in utter disarray, what on earth are you in, one of the alleged biggest clubs in world football trying as usual to put others down because of your clubs utter ineptitude.

You are woeful fella, poor squad, even poorer manager who if memory serves me correctly, got Cardiff relegated!

But hey you believe the hype. 🤦‍♂️🤣

22 Feb 2020 15:05:54
Loll Ed047 is at it again.

I don't think anyone believes the hype around United apart from Shappy Ed.

We have been crap for the last few years yet we have won more then you guys have in the last 10 years.

Arsenal are a big club too and should be doing better then what they are.

{Ed047's Note - I know mate, I’ve never said anything other, we foundered under Wenger, huge mistake with Emery and now a few short weeks with Arteta who is a complete unknown.

The players are trying, things have improved, but certainly nowhere near enough and I for one know that and have never stated differently.

It just made me laugh, the state you are and shappy saying we are in utter disarray mate 😂

Also seemed to recall the utter disarray that is Arsenal beat the fabulously well coached United 2-0 last month. 🤣
