What i would like to happen.
1. Over the next 2 windows i would like to see a cull on this squad, a complete changing of the guard and even at fire sale prices none need be sold at a loss on the books.
Dalot maguire shaw martinez maz rashford mount amad zirkzee and with thanks Bruno.
3 are out of contract at the end of the season although we retain an option on bruno for a season which imo they should trigger with no increase in terms.
Trying to replace that many makes it nigh on impossible in today's market.
2. i'd like to see 1 of conte appointed to oversee that transition and be competitive at the same time.
He will organise what we have for the time being and they will do a lot better imo. He might play 3 at the back.
3. I would like to see a decisive approach to this in order the give a new coach the best chance.
I think the likelihood of many of those players being sold is high. So I'm hopeful on most of them being gone.
On conte i'm not so sure but it would be some craic with him.
On them being decisive on this, i'm not too hopeful.

I agree with all of your points Ken but just don't see the brains trust and mr clever clogs Wilcox having any clue about how to fix the mess we are in. Too busy trying to prove they are right rather than doing what's best for the club.

I reckon what I would like to happen is United employ some men in white coats, because there managers all seem to start spouting total nonsense in press conferences happened with RA, certainly happening with uninspiring Carrick.
I am still not sure why anyone is surprised at any of this, When you add the likes of Tielemans and Santos to a already poor squad what can anyone expect, when the manager only previously got Boro on his CV who, s fans moaned at his football the lack of defensive quality, lack of in game management and poor substitutions it all sounds familiar, then we add Evans and Woodgate into the mix and for a little topping we have Wilcox and SJR the chef . How can anyone of sane mind think this will work.
Oh wait Tielemans and Santos were great signings lol.

We're always talking about culling the squad. The problem is that the new thrifty approach to transfer fees and wages gives no guarantee that the replacements will be good enough. We haven't shown that they scouting system and decision makers are competent enough to bring in quality at lower costs.

No player will succeed long term in a failed structure. Average players will exceed their expected performance in the right structure.
Man Utd's overall structure is rotten. Last year we spent >£100m or not far off the equivalent of the annual salary + amortization for 3 Elliot Andersons.
It affects everything. Can anyone really see anything changing for the better?

Ken, I called for this this summer, and you were quite vocal in that we cannot tear up the squad in one summer.
We needed to be ruthless. Amorim would have ripped it to shreds.
We chose the easier path and the fans lapped it up.
Retaining the likes of Shaw, Maguire, MdL, Martinez, Dalot, zirkzee, mount, Rashford! Criminal.
We had a window to make wholesale changes and back a manager (that window was last Jan). Baleba back then would have transformed the team and results, hands down.

Conte oversea change keep competitive and then Enrique. Dream.
Club need to spend in Jan. LB and ST.
I'd go for Vini Jr and Alvaro Carrera.
