So looks like JJ might be off to Real.
I think we are well rid of that family to be honest. Wish him well, but worry that without a strong mentor to take care of him at this young age he could struggle.
Trying to get too much too fast, and thinking he's bigger than the club. Massive massive step to uproute and go to Spain. Likely delay his introduction to the first team further while he adjusts.
Runours were that he didn't show up for U21 pre season this year because it was beneath him, he came a week later with the first team. Tells you everything you need to know about him if true. He could have got an extra week of training in and been ahead of the first team.
We are well rid of him.

He's a child.
But frankly I'd sign for Real Madrid over us. We're a basket case.

Can't wait for his dad to tell Jose to pick him.

He is a young man and being advised by his father. Most youngsters his age would naturally be influenced by a parent.
I don't wish him ill. If he can fulfill the talent that he is said to have then wherever he plays it will be a pleasure to watch him albeit with a fair degree of regret if he isn't playing for us
The one caveat I have is that how many young players were toured as generational stars and ultimately failed to live up to the hype.

It takes a lot more than talent to make it as a professional footballer, I wish him the best of luck, I really do. Because with family like his, he doesn't need any enemies.
He will find it infinitely harder to break into the first team at Real Madrid. Expect him to be sent out on loan as soon as he is legally allowed, and to probably spend several years out on loan, probably before being sold for a modest amount with a buy back and/or sell on clause.

So he supposedly can't see a route into our first team, ahead of the players we have and even though he was going to be called up for the League Cup game, but he's happy to play for Castilla in the Spanish third division in the hope that in god knows how many years, he'll force his way past the Real Madrid players?
Aye, dead on.
