Think there's a real danger that the owners, board and media mistake the fans love and respect for Carrick the player, for appreciation of carrick the manager. Think we can all agree he's a club great for what he achieved on the pitch but unfortunately doesn't have the experience, tactical knowledge and ability to succeed as club manager.
Our owners however are clueless so who knows what they are thinking.

Tim
They are incompetent enough to not get it, to see the crowd cheering the loyalty of Carrick not his skills as a coach, of which there is little.
The thing is if they keep Carrick we are staring down the barrel of relegation and I don't believe Carrick can turn it round. If they are that stupid they deserve that would result.
It's nearly 6pm and as it stands Carrick would be taking training tomorrow. That would be pure and utter incompetence from the club.

And all because of a bloody racehorse!

Re relegation, City are likely to be removed from the EPL, a minimum for me, leaving only 2 teams being relegated to the championship. I don't see Man United going down, but the situation is dire.

Or they could promote an extra team.

I think I like that better.
