Arsenal have been scamming their way to a title, wrestling opposition in the box like it's WWE all season.

Only fitting they get handed a win after a foul on their keeper (whilst 4 Arsenal players have both arms around West Ham's forwards).

Guaranteed next year the refs will stamp down on this crap, because the inconsistencies at corners are a joke at this stage.

The best team over the season wins the title, whether you like it or not. Arsenal have been the best team.

Arsenal are so negative, but they've the best players. Arteta nearly cost them because of his tension. For the sake of football, I hope that this gives them the confidence to actually be more constructive in their play. As they have the players to be much more entertaining than they are.

If United don't win the league then im not genuinely bothered who does, Grim.

How you can say "the best team wins the league, and it's been Arsenal" when the league isn't over yet? They were a VAR check away from losing the lead in the title race.

They have Burnley and Palace left. Burnley have little incentive, and Palace have a Conference League final coming up, and will probably play a reserve team. Even if it was a draw today, I think Arsenal would have had a good chance. City have Palace, Bournemouth, and Villa. Much tougher.

It's the inconsistency of it all, Mumbles. PGMOL have somehow managed to almost ruin the game. We know what a foul is, we know what an offside is, but when you have people, be it in the middle of the pitch, or most importantly in a video room in Stockley controlling what happens, make so many mistakes, it's incredibly frustrating.

Yesterday's goal, to me, was not clear and obvious. Rice is wrestling Mavropanos, someone's got their arms around Pablo, and imo the goal should have stood, or they could've said penalty to West Ham.

This is not what VAR was supposed to do to the game we watch and follow, week in and week out.

And then Match of the Day get an 'expert' on. Who has never even reffed a game to give his take. ? What was more laughable was he reckons no one should be allowed inside the 6 yard box, deary me.

There needs to be a complete overhaul of a lot of the rules. The wrestling in the box (stamp it out), the handball rules (go back to when it was clear when a player moved his hand to the ball), offsides? (I don't want to see a player being ruled offside due to his foot being bigger).

And most importantly, scrap VAR.

There have been a few twists and turns over the last few weeks, but the Raya save and the Trossard goal feel like the defining moment.

I don't see City making up the difference now, they have Palace, Chelsea, Bournemouth and Villa over 11 days, that is a tough schedule, whereas Arsenal have Burnley and Palace in the same period.

I have no idea how to fix it but it's a blight on the game. This stuff going on in the box is just ridiculous. Maybe restricting the number of players in the box is a way to fix it? God knows.

Offside needs to be clear space (Wenger's idea) between the players.

Any overlap is not offside. Yes, it needs thinking about, but perhaps not such a silly idea.

Also, if you start offside but receive the ball in an onside position, then play on. So much time wasted with that rule.

It was definitely a foul on the keeper. You don't have to be an expert to see that, but there were at least 5 other offences that were fouls from both sides, like there is at every corner.
It's not much different now at corners than it's ever been, but just more cameras and focus due to VAR.

It just comes down to that key word again, consistency. You can certainly argue it's a foul on Raya. The frustrating part is that I have seen 3 similar decisions not given, which just so happen to fall in favour of Arsenal.

v ourselves, 1st game of the season, v Villa and v Chelsea, where the GK has been impeded. These happened early on in the season, so maybe not as much uproar, but this decision could well decide the title and relegation.

'Worse Premier League winners ever', was how I heard one of their own fans call them the other day. Ok, so not technically won, but I have to agree. No matter the side, whether Liverpool or City, in recent years, I've always been happy to sit back and admire and admit they are great teams.

Is this Arsenal side great? I'm not so sure. No one has stood out across the season.
