Its time to cut our ties in my opinion.
The idea that some fans think we would not be better off in a 4231 because of ten hag is quite frankly ridiculous.
We have better wide forwards, a better striker, bruno plays in his proper position. Decent cover for the wide forward roles. And now we have better coverage at CB and RB. LB is the concern of course and the midfield two but if you can't see that we would be better suited to a back 4 then you need to climb out of RA's behind.
The fact he says to change system you have to change me is so telling about his attitude.

LB is not necessarily a problem. Shaw can play that position quite well. He can even play LCB in a 4 formation, as he's proved, but what he cannot seem to do well is play LCB in a back 3.

Shaw looks like he shouldn't be playing at this level.

Shaw should have been sold 5 seasons ago
Same as Maguire
Are inability to sell players past there sell by date is a joke
And the fact shaw is still playing and starting games in 2025 is embarrassing.

Perhaps look at his message of 'to change the system you have to change the man' as a message to the board to suggest, the transition is still in full flow.
I get it, you all want instant success, but reality check! . We are not going to get top 4 this year! Not with another manager, or a change of this or a change of that.
Can you not see the difference in our ay compared to the last decade.

I don't think anybody expects instant success. just seeing the system working would do.

Moving to a back four would mean Shaw and Maguire can be sold without major impact on strength and depth. With a back 5 they’re needed.

If people don't expect instant success, how come, whilst we still have some of the cattle that have been unable to fulfill the requests if multiple managers, these same people are calling for another managers head to roll.
Fundamentally, we are playing better football, but without the results.
Until we have rotated all the unwanted cattle from the squad, there will continue to be ups and downs.
Ride it out and I thoroughly believe Amorim is going to be an overwhelming success at United.

I think Shaw is weak in the head. He doesn't have the right mentality and never did.
No doubt he had good ability but imo member lived up to it.
You can point to his leg break as a turning point but lots of players come back from big injuries and excel.
Jose had him well sussed imo.
Imo ole destroyed the whole club mentality and any player that played under him should be gone but 4 of our senior players are still there and all of them have poor discipline and mentality and again in my humble opinion bruno is one of those despite him having good individual stats.
Until those standard bearers leave the club we won't rid ourselves of the weak mentality in the dressing room.
They are our senior players all have been part of the team for several years that's nearly half the outfield selection here for years and achieved little or nothing in the league. These imo are the weak mentality monsters. Too long here achieving nothing.

Agreed Ken. Nothing much changes until we rid the club of the substandard players from the past. Back Amorim to clear the club of the rot that Ralf and Jose identified.
Amorim will complete the job his way. The youth setup is flying, we have another season of hurt to get through.

I beg to differ on the we are playing better. I see no pattern of play still. We are up there in shot amounts that's true but we do the exact same thing every game, have a good opening 15/ 20mins create some chances then like clockwork our backs are to the wall and chasing shadows.
