Hopefully 1st July was the reason behind our slow business. I was hoping we would have the players in for the start of the season. RA needs a decent start to build some confidence in the players playing his system. Still time though.

I heard it will be done on the 5th July. The Glazers are allowing Sancho, Rashford and Garnacho to celebrate Independence Day first.

It’s quite laughable tbh, you wouldn’t think we’ve just had our worst season ever.

Chelsea can sign a player within hours and we’re still trying to agree a fee 5/ 6 weeks later for one player.

Couldn’t understand if your working on multiple deals at a time

But they said they had planned for this summer for ages,

Still amatures even with the changes made.

Top 4 next season is already nailed on in my opinion.

Liverpool will likely win the league again, already the best team and they are adding real quality.

City are making signing and will push Liverpool.

Chelsea and Arsenal fighting for 3rd and 4th.

Then you have Newcastle and Villa pushing for the top 4 but likely to miss out.

So I think we can likely rule out top 6. After that, who knows. Can’t see Forest having another season like the last one, but you never know. Brentford are losing some key players and a manager. And spurs will likely bounce back to some degree.

Brighton will be solid, Palace could be in a little trouble if they lose too many players and have to play in Europe. Wolves have lost their two best players, so who knows on them.

I reckon United will be around mid-table, maybe a little higher if they can find some consistent form. But they will need a striker and some legs in midfield.

Without a good striker I can’t see the goals coming much more than last season. The striker doesn’t necessarily have to score all the goals, but be good enough to make the right runs to make room for others. And without some legs in midfield the team will get overrun many times like last season.

Defence is not ideal, but if the top half of the team performs they are probably ok to get us by without European football.

I think we can get top 4 this season. Liverpool must be far and away the favourites you would imagine, but will be interesting to see how Slot get's this team playing. Last season I think he done well to not change much from what Klopp did but they've made a few signings, all decent by the way but now he's got to make it gel with them. Still favs in my eyes though.

I think City and Chelsea depending on how far they go in this World Club Cup will start strong but around Christmas I think the lack of break they players have had and the conditions they are dealing with at this competition will takes in toll on them and they'll drop off.

Arsenal, well they're Arsenal aren't they, be loud and brash til March then most likely do the standard fall apart.

Newcastle seem to be struggling to get players through the door at the moment, Villa are hindered financially so unlikely to freshen up that much.

Brighton will be consistent again, Brentford and Bournemouth are losing some important players and Palace could also.

I looked at last seasons fixtures played and we played a total of 58, if we get to the final of the FA Cup and the final of the League Cup we will only play a total of 50 games this season. Get a solid number 9 alongside Cunha and Mbuemo and if we can get a GK I think we can break that top 4 this season.

I love your optimism Ports, but 15th to top 4 is some jump, we lost 18 league games last year. If we can ship out those we know need to go, and secure 4 strong replacements, we should improve massively, but even so, that would be a hell of a jump.

Leicester went 14th to 1st.

Yes ports ? that's the optimism.

Why would you see Chelsea as a top 4 team? They struggled this season, while being able to play basically 3rd team in the european competition. CWC and CL will most certainly take its toll on them, as well as Newcastle and Spurs.
