Can't believe Artetas press conference. He said Arsenal were the best team in Europe this year. That despite not having won any of the four trophies possible (domestic league, league Cup, fa Cup and champions league) and possibly only finishing second a fair distance behind Liverpool.
Contrast that to Utds manager who maintains this is the worst Utd team in 50 years.
So my question is this. Whose approach is better and more realistic and do you think RAs approach might actually undermine the players confidence or is a truth which needs to be said to them and also the board.

I was a bit bemused by both statements. To be fair Arteta's was said in the heat of the moment. The fact that they were never close to winning either leg against PSG is proof enough they were not the best in Europe this season, after all converting chances is the important part and they are not ruthless. In terms of creating chances who knows, maybe they've done that best. I really enjoyed watching the Real fixtures and they deserved those wins no question, but came up short against this PSG side.
As for Amorim, I wish he'd put a lid on it sometimes. It's refreshing having a manager who's a bit better at communicating with the fans and obviously enjoys that side of things, but he's definitely said a few silly things and created some unecessary scrutiny.

Both Arteta and RA are deluded Arsenal were good historic win over Madrid who wouldn't want that in the record but not the best team in Europe if they lost . Saying its the worst team in 50 years is a lie his job to coach experiment with styles to improve UTD and of course itd crush your confidence i wouldn't want my boss saying i'm the worst employee he's had in 50 years would you its not the truth finished 8th last year everyone was gutted then raved about the signings end of the day both managers failed tho Artetas was a pretty good failure Amo wasnt brought in to make us worse these fellas can say what they want results and the table don't lie if Amo dosent win the Europa its been an awful start for him can't hide that.

Liverpool fan here. Arteta's comments have made him look like even more of a delusional arrogant tw*t (didn't think that was possible) . Amorims comments were probably shocking but quite fair. Amorim certainly coming across as the more realistic and grounded coach.

He's a Tesco value Pep. Pep says the same crazy things all the time, but he backs that up with trophies so he doesn't sound delusional.
Arteta did a good job of turning Arsenal around, but he doesn't have the knowhow or the kahunas to take them over the line. If Arsenal are well run they will realise that now and be ruthless. Otherwise they will continue to rinse and repeat next season, play well, but end up empty handed. Then before they know it this young talented squad will be old has beens that saw their careers drift and don't have the medals they should.

So who do u rate higher Shappy Arteta or Amorin? Iv lurked here for ages and iv never seen you criticize a UTD manager its always someone elses fault nobody could do any better but here you are slating a man whos reached the Champions league semis runners up 3 seasons on the bounce i see you hold high standards for other clubs managers Tesco Pep eh where u thought TH Ole etc were world class held back by the club . For the record i agree with you they should bin him he probs can't take them over the line but very hypocritical.

Brum boi, Amorim said "team", he didn't pick out individuals. In the context it's about where we are finishing in the league so is he not factually correct? People changing what was said to suit their argument grips my s**t.
