A Crazy Idea for United But Hear Me Out! ?
Look, I know this won't happen in a million years, especially under INEOS, but given where we are with injuries, results and our complete lack of squad depth, would anyone else take a punt on Mauro Icardi and Raphaël Guerreiro?
Both are currently free agents. Icardi gives us an experienced, proven goalscorer while Šeško is out, and Guerreiro offers much-needed cover at left-back with Shaw and Dorgu sidelined.
Yes, they're getting on. Yes, they come with baggage, injury concerns and question marks over fitness. But we're hardly in a position to be picky!
United have only filled 23 of their 25 Premier League squad places, so there's potentially room for both.
Get them in on short-term, incentive-based contracts until the summer. No transfer fees, no long-term commitments. They wouldn't be eligible for the remaining Champions League league-phase games, but could potentially help domestically and be registered for the knockouts (ha ha I can dream).
We're not talking about building the future around them. We're talking about getting through the next few months without the wheels completely falling off.
Madness or a calculated gamble worth taking? ?⚽.

It's a no for me. We can't keep repeating. All of this coming out in the wash is a good thing in some ways, the club can't hide from the problems are now.

It would be funny to see Icardi at 30+ and in his condition in Premier League. Defenders would eat him alive.
