Hi all, slow days and i wanted to ask all of you and especially Ed001 what's your opinion on Yoro. Is he as good suggested? Is he a generational talent and potentially a top class player? I see a lot of good qualities in him, he reads the game has a very good pass and good technique. The one thing i am not sure (and i may be wrong) is his acceleracion, what's your opinion?

Heaven

{Ed001's Note - generational? Probably not, but he is a very good player. I disagree on the acceleration and reading of the game though. I think he is quick but he doesn't read the game well enough yet, so it makes him look slow as he is reacting later.}

Personally, I see glimpses of a young Rio Ferdinand, and I have high hopes for Yoro.

To the point Ed001. I had this impression because when the forwards are behind him he can't catch them, but when they are behind its mission impossible for any defender (even Van Dijk) to catch up. Like the last time tackle he made in his last match with Burnley, he shouldn't be in position to play catch up in the first place and he should have read better the movement of attacker . Overall i like him and i think he is also very tough and not a soft defender. Thanks for the quick response Ed001.

{Ed001's Note - I do like him too, his biggest problem is playing in a back 3, I would like to see him in a 4 as it requires more responsibility by the defender, with that one less centre back to cover.}

He has come in and performed during a troubled period, had dealt with some injury issues and is still growing/ developing. Yoro is very good and will be a corner stone of our defence for years to come.

Ultimately he is 19!

I do wonder whether he eventually moves into the central defender of the back 3.

At 19 I think he's looking pretty good. Like above said, glimpses of Rio in him with his ball playing and non panick type of play. Now it will come down if he continue getting better.

Not very many 18 year old come and play at cb in the epl and play as well as he has.
Lots to learn for sure but I think he will be a very very good player.
I too think in 18 months he will be the centre of 3 and possibly captain the side.

That’s why he’s so good. We forget he’s only 19 and looks like a player way beyond his years. He’ll be excellent.

Fantastic Ed001, it is the first time i see a Round up of Matchday in this site. Very well writen, i would like to see it every week if possible.

Heaven

{Ed001's Note - cheers Heaven, that is the plan to do it after each round of games. It was suggested on the Arsenal site and I thought it was a good idea, so hopefully it will now be a regular thing.}

I wouldn't put Newcastle Wallace, its Isak for them and the other 2 are avaerage. I wouldn't put this front 3 for Arsenal, Its Saka Gyokeres and Martinelli and i am not sure they are so good either, the strength of them is at the center and central defence. I think Chelsea have a very good attack and many many options, i think their best trio woyld be Pedro, Estevao and Neto. Liverpool i am not se sure either, they have a fantastic roster and a fantastic team. I just i am not sure Ekitike who doesn't press and is not proven is a good fit with Salah who i think press less and less and tries to play more forward to find scoring opportunities rather than (for example until 2 years ago) his starting position was deeper and was world class at everything.

One of my favourites Ed001. I rememper the marriage guidance of SAF to Evans in a press conference. He clearly was one of SAFs favourites so he wanted to evolve (at least in my eyes) and suggest a calm life with and a marriage for Evans. I was suprised the hate about his last transfer to us, he came for free, he came for rotation, still at spells he was our best defender (ok that says more than our defenders i guess but still), i can't complain. Thanks again Ed.

Heaven

{Ed001's Note - I was surprised he drew hate on his return, it was one of the few recent transfers that made sense. Just like it makes sense for him to go into coaching there too.}
