There is definitely something going on in the background in regards to the stadium and ownership/investment etc.
I expect it all to hit the media eventually, no doubt around Christmas time.

Fascinating comments on Eddie Howe on the Everton page which didn't paint him in a particularly strong light.
I sadly think the delay is simply down to lack of alignment and agreement internally as nobody really knows what they're doing and who is actually in charge??

It's about people scrambling to save their own jobs. Wilcox is terrified that he'll be held to account. Berrada brought Wilcox in. Vivell probably doesn't understand why he's even at the club given he's being overruled on transfers. All Ratcliffe cares about is getting the new stadium built so he can milk it for event money. And the Glazers just want something to push the value of the club high enough so they can walk away with as much money as possible when they sell. It's all short term individual goals with no clear plan for making things work on the pitch.
Carrick is on a hiding to nothing with a squad that doesn't respect him. Sesko is out until the new year, so any manager coming in will have to do without a single striker in the squad. And the debt interest repayments will make bringing in quality players difficult next summer, let alone in January.
Rather than fix anything, all INEOS have done is added more problems to the mess. A club driven by conflicting personal interests, and no clue on how to build a competitive footballing team.

Hit nail on head there Danny.

Danny, so you think all Ratcliffe cares about is to build the stadium so he can milk it when he is 80 years old?
I don't believe he wants to put his own money, then i don't think he is here to start milking us from 80 years old to whatever age he lives.
I just think he made some mistakes and trusted the wrong people. I think we must start to think the owner as enemies, they want the same as us. We want success and they want success for their reasons.
{Ed025's Note - not for me Heaven, SJR wants money because money is power, he is an egomaniac mate and people like him never have enough..

Ed025, I don't disagree that generally he wants money and i think he earned a lot in his life. What he really wants, now, i think, is to build a new stadium and bring us glory.
My opinion is that he wants to be the man who lead us to success and be a hero.
I don't think he wants to build a stadium to bear fruits in ten years and milk the club.
{Ed025's Note - i will tell you what he really wants Heaven and why he wanted to invest in United mate, he has bought all the land around the proposed new site for the stadium which when built (by the way he wants the Government to pay for it) will be worth many times more than he actually paid for it, he has no interest in Manchester United im afraid..its all about the money my friend..

Ratcliffe wants to add a highly lucrative new asset to the business he owns a minority stake in. Billionaire should be viewed as a pathological condition. Like ed025 says, despite it being impossible to spend the wealth they've already amassed, they simply cannot stop themselves looking for more. I would also add that there's the further egotistical drive to build a new stadium to stand as his legacy. But I can guarantee that he won't cover the costs of any new stadium.
Ratcliffe, like the Glazers before him, don't want the same things as supporters.
{Ed025's Note - absolutely spot on Danny..

Money is not power.
An entreprenour will always care about making money.
Asking them to not care about business and profit and making money is like asking haaland to stop scoring goals.
Was messi an egomainiac for wanting more titles more goals more awards? No because its his career and passion. Or an actor still taking roles when he has already won oscars?
People who have lots of success at whatever they exel in often hunt more regardless of what they have. Its no different for a money maker than it is for a golfer footballer or aging tennis players like djokovic or the Williams sisters. All chasing the thing that often drives their own self worth and happiness success.
I don't know sjr nor do i have a strong opinion of him as a person. I don't subscribe to some of his political views but I've huge admiration for the businesses he built and fortune his accumalted.
Ed002 told us he was an 'exceptionaly nice guy'
He comes across as very intelligent to me he has a lot of headwinds in some of his businesses at the moment and I'm sure he is fuming at the current set of events at united.
Key men in key roles are not performing wilcox berada and carrick. None of the people who report into Carrick are performing well in their roles. Ie coaches and players.
Sjr needs to protect his investment he didn't get where he is today without being a strategic
Thinker.
Not 1 key decision maker on the football side of the business has his full confidence at the moment. Therefore you can't let them make another bad choice, so that's a tough place to start from.
You may well see carrick being the last man standing of the 3 them and get replaced by the new exec team when in place.
Going to be an interesting few months.

Nice guy. Fires ordinary workers to cut costs, but is happy to pay millions to cover the mistakes made by the best in class executives he hired. Blames immigrants for destroying the country he doesn't even life in. Tax exile that goes looking for government handouts to build his Wembley of the north.
29 Oct 2026 23:24:32
Facts Danny.
30 Oct 2026 06:39:50
Nice guy is exactly NOT what he is, he cares as much about United as he does Chelsea both in his world = money no more no less, no matter what age he loves the power.
He not falling anybody with stupid best in class crap even a fool could see no of our hierarchy are anywhere near best in class, he done same in car industry was going to be the best and have best in class how's that going yep struggling to stay afloat
Nice is Same
He had his time he works like many on here lives in yesteryear, made billions right time right place in petro/Chem inc
He is petty and everything he does is on the cheap, he should have double what he got really but made huge mistakes along the way that's cost him billions and at 80 still making them now.
Got audacity to want to make more out of the ground and surrounding area and wants the government to assist him in paying to make more money, that's not nice or great guy by any means . I would say worse then the city guys least they use there own money.
