It seems Spurs are kind of following our blueprint from last year. They have the luxury of no European football. Are addressing the weakest areas of their team by getting on Robinson Van Hecke Fernandez and now possibly Tonali. All established proven Premier League players.
They will be a force to be reckoned with in the league and cups next year especially with Zerbi who is a good manager. I can see them finishing in the top 5.
I won't panic yet but am getting slightly nervous. There aren't many proven top Premier League midfielders left available and it's always more of a risk bringing in player from abroad. The price of the players left will be driven up as supply is exceeded by demand.
I don't know how much control Carrick has over transfers but if he is not getting the players he really wants due to the board then it's not fair.

Top 5, I can't see that happening. Spurs are a mess. Buying. Few shiny players won't fix all their issues. The new players and the return of injured players should see them improve, but I don't see Top 5 happening.
