I was just on reddit and read that United have reached an agreement with Brighton for the sale of Baleba for 112k euros.
If so, I guess we can conclude that the club has decided to go all in this summer in order to restore us to our RIGHTFUL place!

€120,000 is an absolute bargain. Would have expected to pay at least more than Sesko cost. Bravo, unbelievable negotiating.

If due diligence has been done on Beliba and this is THE player then time for the club to step up. All too often in the last 15 years we have taken No3 in the list. It has cost us.
I remember the Ron Atkinson Robson solid gold comments. He did well didn’t he.

Imagine not buying Cantona, pah too much, Keane, oh no, RvN. It’s when we started buying the value type players that we came unstuck.
If we don’t strike now I suspect City will swoop next summer when Rodri is nearing sell time.
It’s not our money, in fact if the club fail now I would say they have bottled it and only a little better, if at all, than their predecessors. Strike the deal.

The downside to the Baleba deal will be expectations. Because of the price tag people will be expecting world class performances every week.
He’s a very good player. But still young and needs time to develop. He’s not the finished article.
If he’s wrong mentally he will be fine.

Why would we regret signing a player that is probably in the 50/ 60 range for a 120 mill.
I don't know but don't be crying about it in 12 months time. Most of you were panting and getting your undies wet for Ugarte same time last year.
This year its the brighton guy. We never change and have leant nothing from the likes of sancho, antony, Hoiland etc etc if we do this deal at the quoted number. I say zero chance of this deal unless the numbers being quoted is absolute bs.
A bit like mcallister who went to liverpool for 35 mill but before his transfer the papers were full of 60 mill number.
