Does anyone here genuinely think we could get relegated? Have a look at our run of games till the end of the season ?.

It is possible.

Could happen. I’ve looked at our games and only see 3 wins. At home to Ipswich, wolves and West Ham. And to be honest I’m not confident in any of those. The rest of the games I think we will lose. Yes those below us need to win but if they string a couple together then we could be in deep ****.

Fortunately however poor we are, a few below us are even more woeful. Southampton are goners. Don't get me wrong I think we can definitely drop another place but I don't see Leicester or Ipswich suddenly turning it on either. If we beat any of that bunch in our head to head games that'll see them off. Those are fast becoming our cup finals!

Sad to say leicester away and ipswich at home look like a key games. what a mess. Kobe gone probably till end of April and amad gone till next year. Panic stations will go off if we lose those games.

Ipswich and Leicester have enough in their squads to pick up points. We are playing them home and away so they are 6 pointers that can make a big difference.

We will not beat westham at home on current form and wolves is a 50/ 50. They are in a relegation scrap and beat us without much fuss a few weeks ago. You are an optimist lol.

I think the issue regarding relegation isn't about quality, rather it's more about mentality.

Clubs like Wolves, Ipswich and Leicester have plenty of players who are more used to scrapping through a game, whereas we probably have a similar quantity who go missing when the battle gets messy.

I don't believe we'll be relegated, but to think that technical quality is all that's needed to survive is absurdly naive - we might well be pulled closer yet.

Funny but having flagged the lack of a goal scorer for knocking 2 years, I think the new part owners have really left us wide open by not buying anyone suitable. In summer Zirkzee who is neither a CF or a goal scorer was bought for £30plus million, in January £29m on a Left wing back but no scorer.
I have to point the finger at Ratcliffe and co on this, to win games you have to score. I even remember people on here saying we didn’t need a goal scorer, ridiculous.
Relegation can happen to teams if they can’t score and Ratcliffe could give us relegation if we don’t find some goals.
I think we will survive it but there is incompetence to get here. Again this is not on Amorim. They should have sacked ETH in summer and given RA the money. They failed and then failed again in January by not realising the impact of no scorer.

I think we will win more than 3 games before the end of the season and stay up comfortably.

I most certainly hope we don't get involved in a relegation dogfight, but I urge caution to those who believe it to be impossible.
Not the same but looking at this from a different perspective, we beat Newcastle to the title (I love it I would) by five points having been thirteen points behind them. Followed closely by losing the title to Arsenal (stick to Japanese football) having led them by 12 points. It is not inconceivable that those below us pick up points while we keep dropping points. We will then be very much in a squeaky bum time dog fight.
I've said it before but there will be some here that we could not possibly be relegated in 1973/ 74 for similar reasons. That didn't go so well!

So far RA is 14 PL matches 4w 2d 8l if that continues in next 13 matches we will just about scrape 40 points!

Let that sink in!

I’m not forgetting ETH part or the players or anyone involved in any aspect of destroying our club.

And that’s it, Manchester United Football Club has been destroyed beyond belief by greed, incompetence, indifference, selfishness and any other adjective anyone cares to use.

Every decision just gets worse and worse, every player we sign seems to become less and less effective than they’ve ever been.

If we were a horse this lame it would be put out of its misery. But we will be milked for the last dregs of profit by every single leech involved in this process.
The Glazers. Ratcliffe. His cronies. The players. Agents. Sponsors. Until there’s not more to take.

They have continually abused the support, the best in the world, and taken everyone for a fairground ride to near obscurity.

Reputation means nothing to these people except a chance to increase their bank balances.

And unfortunately I cannot see any light at the end of the tunnel.

Can't argue with any of that Eric.

13.) 19 Feb 2025
19 Feb 2025 12:15:15
Ahmad, i'm not saying we will win those games, i'm saying those are the 3 we can win. The rest I expect us to lose. Let’s be fair no matter who the opponent or where we play them, i have zero confidence in winning any game.

14.) 19 Feb 2025
19 Feb 2025 12:18:22
Pro u nailed it. Our players don’t have the fight or spirit those other teams have. They also won’t have the jeopardy. If we go down they’ll get to leave and the club and fans will have to pick up the pieces. Mentality is as key as quality and right now we are severely lacking in both.

Tim

I have not seen a game where I think they are being lazy or not trying and they look shattered at final whistle. They just look like a disjointed confused bunch under immense pressure from the fan base and a ton of media scrutiny. It is just a terrible environment leading to many poor performances on the pitch from basic errors in judgement, poor passes etc etc.

Kobe looks like 10 mill pound player where last year he looked like an 80 mill pound player, same can be said for many others.

16.) 19 Feb 2025
19 Feb 2025 12:49:26
If we beat Ipswich we are should be okay. It will be a disaster if we somehow lose as there is a run of games after that which are horrendous to much better opposition in tough places even in normal times.

17.) 19 Feb 2025
19 Feb 2025 14:06:58
So much panic! Are not the players all internationals? So some ability! I fear it’s a mentality issue. Lack of confidence . Fear. Once they get the ball in the back of the net tension will lesson! Pay no attention to the all is lost merchants! ?.

If we get relegated, I will pay every regular poster on here, £10.

I’m fast reaching a point where I really don’t care anymore….

Noucamp

I used to think people who posted that stuff were nuts. I am not so sure anymore. There are no easy games in the Pl and we have a total of 14 points from 14 games since Amorim joined and now starting to have long term injuries to key players. A few more injuries and we can be in serious trouble and just hope the bottom 3 don't pick up wins.

I will feel a lot more at ease if we can get a result against Ipswich. Just want the year over and not looking forward to tuning in on the weekends to watch us. first time in many many years I will not go to OT for at least a couple of games.

Have this terrible feeling we will see Ole's watford type tonkings at a few away fixtures or even at OT when city come to town or Arsenal.

I still wouldn't be holding out on getting a tenner from me, Ahmad ?.

19 Feb 2025 16:52:02
Ahmad,

Is that City who we beat away from home or Arsenal that we beat away from home in the cup? This team has a lot of struggles but can certainly turn it on sometimes and as someone said above if we can score a couple of goals hopefully the confidence comes back as they look shot at the minute.

GDS

We beat a city team that was on a run of 10 losses in 12 games. I tune in every week thinking today is the day we finally see some fruits of all of this change, score a couple and just see a game out.

It is getting worse and a really bad watch, we look like we will never score, always on the edge of conceding and once the first one goes in its almost over and the question is how many, especially in the league. The hate the players are getting is not right imo and read hoiland has some security now as he has death threats. How crazy is that.

I think we played better early on in his tenure than now. I am at a point now that I expect some very bad results and can see us going on a 5 or 6 game losing streak and some very lopsided scores. I hope I am wrong but feels like the worst is yet to come.

SAF the greatest manager in football made adjustments through out his managerial career and played what he thought would get him results. He was never married to one way of playing football. I recall one year we played a lot of games in a narrow diamond formation.

I am asking for changing/ tweaking something that is clearly not working. Good managers are suppose to do that. This is not the Portuguese league where there is only 3/ 4 decent teams. He will lose the entire dressing room if he keeps going like this. Whether we like it or not managers get sacked when they lose the dressing room. He needs to help himself and not self destruct.

If they sack him its a disaster in my opinion but they have been through 7 manager in 5 seasons at Nice.

If its not this season it will be sure next with this squad. It needs gutting and starting again and that won’t happen. There are too many hangers on. Casemiro wants to see out his contract apparently so there's 350k a week hanging on the bench for a couple more years. And the rest. What a utter shambles its become.

25.) 20 Feb 2025
20 Feb 2025 14:17:43
The squad just got gutted by TH fair enough he signed worse than he let go can't be a never ending circle of rebuilding for managers to show there system a reason UTD are awful they let these previously unknown managers run riot the club has zero identity of its own latches on to the flavour of the month manager to give them 1 been a rubbish watch and team since Jose was sacked the fear factor left with him now massive defeats and been played of the park by nearly every side is common place shocking state of affairs for a so called big club.

Brum boi, we were a rubbish watch under Jose as well. Remember the Seville and Liverpool games?
