Hi Edds, Do you know if there is any interest from United in Freddy Guarin from Inter, whenever I watch Inter play he never stops running, good on the ball, closes people down all the time generally looks great, just what we need?

cheers in advance

Can I ask what your opinions is on him and if you have seen him play? {Ed002's Note - He spends too much time at the hairdresser and not enough practicing throw ins.}

Heard from a strong source that 3 midfielders will join united by tomorrow, 2 central and one attacking forward/winger who can play from the left

Woodward was also in Germany to sort out the transfer of Gundogan (hence why he wasnt in the Dortmund team today) along with Herrera from Bilbao who was also left out of the first 11.

The other forward player I am not sure but it depends if kagawa goes to either dortmund or PSG tomorrow

jple23

1.) He's injured isn't he?

2.) Gundogan has been injured and hence why sahin is starting for dortmund at the moment.

3.) I don't believe it we have been lied to all summer about being in the market for the best it's aloud of rubbish its all just to sell season tickets and reap the profits our midfield is embarrassing we come up against teams in champ league this year we will get over run out played out classed and knocked out early stages and everyone knows deep down I'm right and sooner moyes gets this into his head and realises he's not manger of Everton any more where standards are slack he's manger of Manchester United greatest club on earth if only we had the midfield to match the name .

4.) Gundogan is injured and out for at least 4 weeks.

5.) Think you might need to find yourself a new 'source'.

6.) Strong source being yourself I assume.

So we made a combined bid of 28m for fellaini & Baines a few weeks ago and now spend 0.5m less on one of those players we were robbed, for an extra 15m why not go for ozil one of the top 10 players in the world?

Coentrao deal didn't make it before the 11pm deadline, serves Woodward right we have had all summer to get this sorted.

If we just sign fellaini this transfer window the fans need to make a statement at the home game at Palace, such a poor transfer window so far (hope I eat my words) we have needed a 2 centre midfielders for 3-4 years ending up with fellaini for over 25m (CRAZY PRICE) and still got the rubbish that we needed to offload, macheda, bebe, anderson, nani, young

you hear so many people saying Moyes was not the right choice to succeed SAF.

so who would you have chosen?

Just for the record it wanted Klopp but Moyes was a close second, I still think he will do well just needs time to adapt, remember he isn't use to all this media hype and having money to spend

everyone's view would be good

jple23

1.) The money to spend comment means more than everton (well that's what the owners tell us)

2.) I'd have taken Klopp, Pep (if SAF's decision came before Pep had agreed to move to BM), Pellegrini, Heynckes or Ancelotti over Moyes.

3.) I was hopin for klopp too think he quite have been a great pick

4.) Ancelotti would be my choice. If things don't work out with moyes I would definitely go for him for his experience and players look upto him as a great manager.

5.) Klopp definately, heynkes anyone with a c.v of being able to win something or come up with the tactics or plan to beat a major club on their own patch in 11 years, someone who wouldn't be afraid to play and bring through young players so as we don't lose them to other clubs.

6.) Kloot!

7.) Well we have Moyes let's get behind him

8.) If he is n't used to spending all the so called extra money, why did he not just go and ask SAF where there any targets in mind when he was offered the job, discuss them and get everyone to agree and just go and get them, end of.
That reasoning just doesn't wash. Moyes had the opportunity to squeeze as much money as he wanted from the Glazers as part of his own negotiations, why did he not do this?
No one in bar a unknown rb, no deadwood gone, now last day of window very amatuerish just not good enough.
Wearing green and yellow jersey 2moro.

9.) I would have taken moyes, firstly because he's British, secondly because he was loyal to Everton for 10 years and did a great job in that time, and thirdly because that's the man SAF chose, which is good enough for me. {Ed007's Note - I think you will find Moyes is Scottish. If you ever meet him don't call him British whatever you do! Or Fanta-Pants, indicator oxters or scorching baws.}

10.) There were at least 5 managers I would have looked at before Moyes and the No1 for me should have been Mourinho, followed by Klopp, Pep, Loew, Ancelloti and probably others before Moyes.

Did SAF chose Moyes because of the financial situation with the owners?

Moyes was the risk United didn't need to take.

it will be intersting in herrera plays for bilbao tomorrow at 11am against real madrid, if he doesn't (as he is always first on their team sheet) he is surely on his way to the theatre of dreams!

I have watched Sporting Lisbon a few times this year and they have had a great start, I have liked william carvalho he looks quick and strong and would be a good purchase but as Edd002 says the suggested price is crazy (i thought sporting needed the cash? i.e. van wolfswinkel?

a bonus is he is eligible for the champions league though

I remember asking about Guarin in the summer and the response from the Edd (i can't remember which one) was that Guarin has more interest doing his hair?

I watch Serie A on tele and he looks a grat player, gets up and down, shot, tackle and always puts in 100% effort hope the rumour is true, plus he can play in champions league

I don't think Pogba will come back, a player only gets 1 chance at united and they look at the player as a person, if he did what he did before he left contract wise (united fault really letting it can so close to the end of the contract) I don't think moyes would be interested as its the whole package not just what he does on a football pitch (which in theory is a shame) i.e. if bolatelli was the best footballer in the world united wouldn't sign him as what he is like as a person

i feel pogba has had his chance which is a shame! what do you think eds? {Ed007's Note - I can't see him returning to Utd. I rely on you guys to keep me up to date with up and coming youth players at Utd and I hadn't seen much of Pogba at all until his move to Italy. I can certainly see why most of you heaped so much praise on him.}

Mick, I don't agree fully with your team selection Moyes picked.

If fergie was still in charge it would have been the same team apart for (cleverley for young) and we would have played 451 not 442 moyes wasnt tactically aware and should have looked at our previous games and tactics used and tried to hit them on the break.

However nobody performed today apart from Rooney when he had support and stopped his tif with Kompany, fair enough we had a good last 30 min but if you were 4 nil up would you sit back, as in theory the game is won

Fellaini was poor, he has no passing ability as his states showed last year at even 27.5m for that, we supposibly bought him so he could challenge the big players in the big games i.e. Yaya but shocking doesn't cut it, then Moyes did the same as he did at everton put fellaini further up the pitch fair enough he is a hand full for defenders but he needed a good delivery (that he got from Baines, coleman and Mirales, there is no comparison to the corssing ability of young, valencia and especially smalling all were abismall at putting the ball in the box!

no plan b from moyes and I think he needs to learn from this team selection and defeat.

apoologies for the esay, feedback welcome!

I totally agree Oswald, herrera would have given us something different which we have needed, I want the Fellaini deal to fall through so the s&%£ hit the fan, this is absolutely appaulling!

Stick to home teams, munchengladbach and hanburg are good at home, I was however surprised to see schalke beating leverkusen after how poor they were in the champions league qualifiers
