As bad as the players have been, we bossed the first half and should have scored 3 or 4. Not sure it was lack of fitness in the second half or Chelsea upping the their efforts.
But it showed this squad can compete, Chelsea are 4th and not great. The right manager can get so much more with the right 11 on the pitch playing the right system.

Yh the first half was the sort of performance you could build on if you had a half decent start to the season. But with 2 wins in 4 months, its just another chapter in the negative doom spiral this season has been.
I did like the santos baleba midfield, stick Mainoo in there and we could have a promising midfield 3.
