Anyone who watched him play for Strasbourg in France won't be that surprised by his early form during pre-season.
He was criminally underused by Chelsea, and was restricted by their tactics, often being forced to play a far more restrictive role at Chelsea that did not take advantage of his passing and vision.
I said when we signed him that the 50m might initially seem a little steep, but will in time be looked at as a bargain.
I'm really looking forward to seeing how his partnership with Mainoo develops over time, as I think they have some great complementary skills, and they could form a monster midfield duo over the next couple of years that could dominate the EPL for most of the next decade or more.

He's decent, but it's a bit early to be thinking that either he or Mainoo is going to dominate anything.
