Can any of the Eds or punters explain the exact rules for home grown players both FA and UEFA? Assuming Rashford leaves will United meet the requirements or will the size of the squad they can name be reduced? Does UEFA require 4 home grown academy players in the European squad?
We have a lot of youngsters coming through but if they're not yet 21 can they count towards meeting the requirements.

8 players trained by a club in the same country for at least 3 years between the ages of 18-21.
4 players trained at the same club for at least 3 years between the ages of 18-21.
The 4 at the club count towards the 8 from the country.

If you register players at a club under the age of 21, they count towards the number; however, players under 21 that come under the club rule do not have to be registered.
Players under 21 who fall into neither group, nor the country group, do have to be registered.

We should be ok on the homegrown quota.
Dalrow, Heaton, Shaw, Maguire, Mainoo, Mount, Rashford all count as homegrown players.
Heaton, Mainoo, Rashford, and I think Shaw are club trained, so we should be ok in that aspect.
