Hi Ed001 I was wondering what your thoughts are on Matheus Fernandes? Seems like we are pushing to sign him, sounds pricey though!
{Ed001's Note - ability wise he is excellent, but I do have some worries over his attitude when things are not going well. At both Southampton and West Ham, during bad patches he would just throw his arms up in the air and stand around stropping, when you really want them to work harder when things are not going well. But he has got excellent ability on the ball and does usually work hard and get about the pitch well.}

Ed001, do you think he can better than Elliot Anderson, ability wise? I think they are similar with similar atributes, Elliot is more of a leader but maybe, just maybe, Fernandez has a higher celling
{Ed001's Note - different types of players, he is more creative but Anderson is more mobile and is better all-round. Fernandez is more of a Wharton type upgrade,}

Thanks as always Ed001. I think (and is just me thinking) that longterm he will be Brunos successor. The times i have seen Mateus, he has the creativity with both legs, a very good shoot, good set pieces and he is an excelent passer. He has all the atributes to succed Bruno, even the moaning.
I would say he can become even better than bruno because i think he is faster with better driving on the ball, a better version of Bruno. Do you think it is a possibility or i am too far in my thinking?
{Ed001's Note - I am not sure he can become better, that is a high bar, Bruno may not be the most likeable player, but he is truly elite.}

Better than Bruno, maybe wishful thinking or even foolish thinking, but of course we never know. If he gets anywhere near, that would be great for him...
Totally different player than Anderson.

Think he has all the attributes to be a great, top-tier midfielder. Still disappointed on missing out on Anderson, but if he wants City then not much can be done. Think the moaning could be something that might be different in a better team, where he won't get away with it.

Who would be your pick of the players we should sign Ed1?
{Ed001's Note - Anderson is the standout, but other than him I would say Gomes from Wolves looks ideal as he can play a couple of roles.}
