A not too impossible situation could arise where 6th place gets CL football.
If Villa win the Europa League and finish 5th then 6th place also qualify.
If Villa win it and finish 4th then 6th place goes into Europa League.
I think Villa are likely to finish 5th and likely to win the Europa League. What a chance for the likes of Bournemouth Brighton or Brentford. Or a last gasp chance for Chelsea which I don't forsee.

I'll put my support behind Fulham. They have Bournemouth tomorrow, which will be significant for either side. If they get the win, they have Wolves away and Newcastle at home.

Is that correct? I thought the extra place is only created if Villa finish 6th and they have to enter the competition as Europa League winners. Only the top five qualify for the Champions League.
