When are we going to ask questions of Ten Hag?
While I completely agree and understand we've had a piss poor run of injuries, surely we have enough in this squad to put up a fight against palace at home.
We have to stop this nonsense of praising his handholding of the Ronaldo situation and start judging him on current performances.

We're garbage and have been since we won a he Carabaou cup.

I get my head bit off by Mr Shappy when I question ETH, so how dare anyone question him. Bookies favourite to be first gone now, so won’t be long.
You can’t upset half the dressing room and think the other half will work for you
Injuries or not, we lost 4 out of 7 is it and TBF lucky to win the 3 we did!
Shappy reckons we lost to a worldly goal not sure if it counts as more than 1 goal! or what difference that makes.

ETH likes the sound of his own voice too much. Ask yourself how would you have felt today if your Garnacho Martial or Mjebri, oh your all drooped and my misfits are back in! He thinks he still coaching kids in Dutch league that school master treatment not going to work here.

Ah that's ludicrous to question him. Form is bad allied to really poor injuries in a squad that's not good enough because of what he inherited. He has improved a lot of players, e. g. Wan Bissaka, Shaw, Dalot, Rashford and brought through others like Hannibal and Mainoo. But the standards were awful when he took over and it takes more than a year to fix that. We're seeing regression with Rashford for instance and that type of thing is typical. Ten Hag needs and should get the season at least. I'd argue he needs the next 2 windows.

He does make some strange decisions but so does every manager

Surprise Surprise Marcus Rashford worst player on the pitch again

Yes I don’t rate him and never have but what I can’t abide is his lacklustre demeanour can’t be arsed attitude. He needs dropping asap.

I've just lost all hope, don't even know what to think anymore. and I got hammered for worrying that it might get worse. I watch us and think my god were awful. lost count how many times our midfield just lose the ball with aimless passing. Think utd will turn it around soon, but it's painful.

6.) 30 Sep 2023
30 Sep 2023 20:16:30
He may have improved Binsaka but he still nowhere near level required, same with Dalot
Bought Hannibal through plays well midweek, so kicks him in balls today, done same with Ganarcho and even Martial
Starting Rashford on bench today was the right thing to do, to kick him up the pants and reward Garnacho. nope
Buys Mount, no idea where to play him, spent 80 million on one trick pony, got rid of reserve left back knowing he already had injuries prefers to play Amrabat there because he done that years ago in Dutch league, terrible substitutions and in game management
Upsets more then he don’t
Then tells media players not following his explicit instructions no wonder they all pissed off with him, Casermiro must think what is this man doing.

30 Sep 2023 20:55:02
How on earth has he improved Shaw and Rashford? They are both as crap as ever. Rashfords lack of effort is horrendous, Rangnick was right, we should have got rid of the both of them. The two constants, i'd even put Bruno in there, genuinely don't believe they're good enough for us.

Whilst I understand current frustration, I feel it myself, but surely we cannot be seriously considering sacking ETH? Really? We rinse and repeat this quickly? We will surely never come out from this sh1t3 if we continue this route. I’m stunned to hear such talk as this.
Okay, those that advocate a change of manager please answer some questions:
Replace ETH with whom?
How long have you been a United ‘supporter’?
Who was the manager when you started being a United ‘supporter’?
If you have only ‘supported’ United when SAF was in post please ignore this because you really have no idea!

I’m of the opinion that ETH has lost it. Think it’s all too big for him. Just because he won a league cup doesn’t mean anything now. LVG won a bigger cup and got sacked straight after. Time to move on from last season, the team is going backwards and he appears clueless on how to sort it.

Look at what spurs are doing, no 30 goal a season striker anymore and their new boss has them playing well within a matter of weeks.

Even with the injuries ETH has a team full of internationals. A good coach or man manager could get them playing some decent football, at least sometimes. Fed up of hearing excuses.

Rashford should never have been given a new contract, he has no choice but to play him now, can’t get rid of him as nobody would pay the stupid wages we’ve given him.

Wasted over £100m on Onana and Mount that we didn’t desperately need. Wasted almost another £100m on a right winger who’s simply not very good.

At the moment ETH is turning United into a team that would struggle in his beloved Dutch league.

That being said, he is safe in his job, for now. But there hasn’t been one good performance in the league yet this season, if this keeps up and United start falling even further down the league they will have no choice but to pull the trigger. Trouble with that is, who on earth would you replace him with?

Strangeways you're either very young or never played sport yourself. These things take time and there are ebbs and flows. Taken over the entirety of his time at the club, I see clear improvement. It is crazy imo to talk about removing the coach while in the midst of an injury crisis that means 3 of his first choice back 4 or out, and when 2 of his first choice midfielders have only just returned.

30 Sep 2023 21:29:53
new owners come in they will look at him very very closely - no point getting into it now as I still back ETH but there's easily 3-4 managers we would attract with new owners and a shed full of cash - he had better up his game sharpish.

13.) 30 Sep 2023
30 Sep 2023 21:32:34
Strangeways,

Making stuff up doesn’t really help anyone, you clearly have an agenda here and want the manager sacked, where have you suddenly come from, did you used to have a different name? ETH is not favourite to be sacked, he’s 4th favourite after Heckingbottom, Dyche and O’Neil, joint with Kompany at 12/ 1, so posting stuff on here about him being favourite to go just makes you sound ridiculous.

14.) 30 Sep 2023
30 Sep 2023 21:44:04
Feels like nursery playground again. ETH is nor perfect but the club is a mess. He needs to be backed and we need to ship out the whingers.

I agree he selects players who are not playing well amdnje needs to start dropping a few, but Rashford's inconsistency and Bruno's attitude were issues before he arrived.

Rinse and repeat isn't working, we need to back a Manager and of that means changing every player them so be it.

Some very silly posts on here lately, people stamping their feet and wanting the Manager sacked, just staggering.

15.) 30 Sep 2023
30 Sep 2023 21:47:49
Ten Haag has been in the job for just over a year and people are calling for his head. How can we expect success if we keep chopping and changing the manager? It just doesn’t make sense. By the reckoning of all those naysayers, Sir Alex would have been sacked long before he became successful. Ten Haag needs time and I feel confident that he too will be a success.

17.) 30 Sep 2023
30 Sep 2023 21:59:39
We need to back the manager otherwise the cycle starts again. Fair few injuries. He needs atleast 2 more windows to be judged, you can't form a team in a year.

18.) 30 Sep 2023
30 Sep 2023 22:32:07
When are people going to stop blaming the manager and start realising he is using a core group of players that have been there through multiple managers.

Players have far too much influence in this club and it really shows. Get rid of the toxic players in the squad and rebuild. Arteta did a great job of it with Arsenal and is seeing the rewards.

Only United fans would be so fickle to think a new manager solves the problem when the squad hasn't changed much.

19.) 30 Sep 2023
30 Sep 2023 22:36:54
Who says he has lost half the dressing room? Who ever it was was probably paid by sancho. Or it dressing room sources - eg sancho.

I said we might not have hit the bottom yet. But what ten hag is doing is what we need.

Looks at results from klopps first seasons, arteta, fergy and there are many more examples. We are ripping things up and rebuilding. It is a process and is painful.

We possibly would have been better with DDG and defensive stability this year, but maybe this way we reach the end goal quicker but with short term pain?

Today we controlled the game better, but we are not creating chances and clicking. I'm sure these players will figure it out soon and until then I am backing them to do so.

Back this manager and support the team.

20.) 30 Sep 2023
30 Sep 2023 22:48:57
I agree with the above posts but I think we all know that when push comes to shove the board will take the easy out and sack the manager. There’s a reason why we continually go through the same cycle and until that’s addressed properly then nothing will change. Lunatics running the asylum springs to mind!

21.) 30 Sep 2023
30 Sep 2023 22:57:16
I am not advocating getting rid of ETH but something needs to radically change. I know you can’t make strawberry jam out of pig sh! t but you can make it better to swallow! Some of his decisions are bewildering to say the least.

If he has a definitive plan then he must be backed at least till the end of the season and another window to get it right. Problem is who wants to come?

Unless we fix the structure it does not matter which manager comes in.

This team is a mess from the top down and one of the worst I have seen since I started watching United when Busby was manager. Sure I have seen worst teams on paper but they at least played for each other. This is a team largely made up of individuals who it appears the manager has already lost.

Where are the Rashford must play advocates today? He was awful and there can be no reasonable argument to the contrary.

He was in Trafford last time after escaping from the Maze. Poor lad has a thing for Shappy and adding new accounts to agree with his own opinion, it’s pathetic.

Going back to my original post, Ten Hag and his coaching team should be getting some sort of tune out of these players by now.
It’s all well and good having a disciplinarian who will weed out the whiners but we also need some form on the pitch.
Currently, we’re absolutely rubbish, and we’re easy to play against.

24.) 01 Oct 2023
01 Oct 2023 09:50:24
Eric should be around for the long term. Anyone who calls for his head is quite frankly an idiot.

The manager should have the major input into transfer decisions. But it shouldn’t be purely down to him. There needs to be a recruitment team who all sing from the same hymn sheet. Certain players were a mistake and that’s down to him having full autonomy which doesn’t work.

The full back situation is dire at the club. We don’t have world class full backs and judging by the way he wants to play we need to. There’s a real lack of depth as well.

The discipline side is spot on. Players either get onboard or go. It’s simple. When your playing XBox til 3am and tossing it off in training, what do you expect?

The young lads coming through are just that, young lads with potential. I might get pelters, but I haven’t seen anything from Garnacho, Hannibal or Pellistri which make me think they are world beaters. Garnacho has shown glimpses, but he’s got a long long way to been world class if at all. My honest feeling is that these lads will end up like Januzaj. Mainoo is the one that excites me for the future.

And my final and main bullet point……NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNTIL THE GLAZERS GO.

25.) 01 Oct 2023
01 Oct 2023 13:09:29
FiremanC, are Rashford, Martial, Antony and Sancho world beaters?
Have they all hit world class status at any point in their careers.
2 of them I’ve mentioned walk around the pitch when we’re not in possession.

26.) 01 Oct 2023
01 Oct 2023 15:34:50
Fireman ETH as had major input into signings and honestly speaking are any of them that great! He now pinned all his hopes on a unproven 20 year old striker to be united Number 9, when United should be having him as an understudy to be learning the art. It’s poor planning whatever way you look at it, same as letting the reserves left back go last day of transfer when he knew injuries were there and short in defence and surely could see Martinez was not fit, but nope ETH prefers to sign one of his old midfielders in Amrabat and play him there! So any other full back reserve at united now basically been told you’re not good enough! All creates dressing room unrest, ETH keeps saying this is United, but he managing it like Ajax in the Dutch league, so why don’t he practice what he keeps preaching!

27.) 01 Oct 2023
01 Oct 2023 19:46:17
Strangeways, that was my point regarding transfers.

Yes, Eric should be the major contributor, but the whole team should be united in their decision to sign a player. If the medical team or the data analysts say no then that should veto. In the case of Antony, there should have been red flags. For me, Gakpo would have been a better signing.
