Hi Ed, Laporta says they are getting Aubamayeng, and Dembele it is down to a proposal from an english club whether he accepts the move or not. This isn't United is it?

{Ed002's Note - No, Manchester United have not made an offer and the player is keen to avoid such a move.}

Do you mean avoid a loan deal ed or avoid a move to man utd? I know you have said a few times the club aren't progressive and they have shown it in the way they have handled the lingard situation in my opinion.

{Ed002's Note - He does not want to join Manchester United.}

I for some reason had a distant hope that rather than Barca, we might actually sneak a deal for Auba given the Mason situation. There's still a world class player there.
Would have been a class Man Utd deadline day signing too. Oh well.

We need a mass clear out. Jones, linderoff, mgurire, telles, Fred, lingard pogba Henderson Mata all need to go.
Lingard is nearly 30 yet hangs out with mason greenwood and rashford. He's like a petulant child. Pogba lingard have been like a cancer at United. Rashford hasn't kicked on since under Jose. Overated, again more interested in politics and tattoos. Sick AMD tored of idiots like lingard. He will play well somewhere for a season then he will be on his way out. he's another deli Ali. Terrible attitude.

Draig goch.

Harsh calling our players a cancer. How exactly is Pogba a cancer? Underachieving, not playing to potential and even disrespectful maybe, but a cancer? Seriously.

Rashford was one of our top players last season playing through injury, only second to Bruno in output. And i have actually never seen one single image of him with Greenwood.

So much bile, take a chill pill my friend.

{Ed001's Note - I thought it was well know Rashford and Greenwood did not like each other? Certainly that was what was being claimed a while back when Rashford's form dipped, that it could be down to their personal dislike of each other.}

Obviously while it's disappointing to lose a player with the talent and potential of Mason Greenwood, maybe there can be positives taken from it.

Clearly he wasn't a much loved member of the squad and he has obviously rubbed some players up the wrong way. If he is a horrible a person as this latest incident suggests then that might go a fair way to explain why he isn't liked that much by others on the squad.

As such his removal from the squad can only be good for team morale.

Others might get a chance to step up, while maybe others will rediscover their best form.

Auba was never world class.
He is a complete lemon.

Lol go have a look at his stats at both Dortmund and up to 2020 with arsenal if you think he wasn't world class Ken.

Interesting that about Greenwood and Rashford. I had no idea. With Greenwood away from the squad now, like Shappy mentions, it could and may well be a good thing. It certainly will be interesting to see what the dynamics of the squad will be like now.

I saw something about Rashford's instagram yesterday with his GF, certainly seemed like a dig at Greenwood.

I also have to hold my hands up and admit I was wrong and too harsh on Rashford over recent weeks based of his performances. A rejuvenated Rashford would be like a new signing and as an Individual, he certainly is someone you'd want to represent your club.

Sim, last season (2020/ 21), only Bruno (27 goals, 17 assists) surpassed Rashford's total of 19 goals and 9 assists for our club.

However, for context Bruno scored 9 penalties, if Rashford had taken and scored those penalties instead of Bruno then the stats would have 28 goals for Rashford and 18 goals for Bruno. Almost flipping their goal scoring records. Which highlights how important taking penalties can be to a players goalscoring record. If Rashford took penalties instead of Bruno last season then he'd have 37 combined goals and assists compared to Bruno's 35. Literally the only thing that separated Bruno and Rashford's attacking inputs last season was who took the penalties.

While last season Rashford missed many games through injury, having three injury spells. Which meant he spent much of the season coming back from injury and wasn't on top form as he rebuilt fitness and match sharpness. Whereas, Bruno didn't suffer any serious injuries and was practically an ever present in the side.

So while Rashford maybe didn't live up to the high standards he sets himself, he still had a solid season and was better than everyone bar Bruno.

Ed001, seems Greenwood wasn't a popular player with the team which can't be good for morale. He's also a horrible human being so good riddance, hope we never hear of him again.

I agree Shappy, Rashford was actually quite good, and playing through the pain barrier throughout the season too. Some people just want to hate on him for no discernible reason.

Ports i too saw the post from Rashford and thought it was a dig at Greenwood.

There were claims that Rashford didn't get on with Greenwood and Martial.

There were also claims that Rashford was a sulky trouble maker in the dressing room who wanted to be played through the middle.

I have no idea whether or not if these or which of these are true. Since then I have read and heard lots of negative things about Greenwood, and Rashford apparently saying at least he thinks his best position is Left forward (which it is) and that all this chopping and changing position isn't helping him ( which I don't think it does)

As for Rashford last season I thought he was playing well until injured and seemingly ground down after playing in the region of 70 games in 12 months. He's had his surgery and too me doesn't look like he ever came quite back to his peak yet. Rashford for me isn't a long term concern and amongst the least of my concerns for the future of United.

Ed001, do you think rashfords downturn has something to do with Greenwoods behaviour?

I mean, if that was me, knowing what we all know now, I certainly would be incredibly disappointed and disheartened.

{Ed001's Note - it is possible it had a bearing, I doubt if it is the only reason though.}

17.) 02 Feb 2022
02 Feb 2022 19:51:02
It would make sense ed. Imagine knowing that, club does nothing and you have to train and play alongside him every day. Sickening.

Might also influence Rashford if he is thinking of leaving.

Honestly, if the club knew about greenwoods behaviour, it really does affect my support for the club.

You see who Raith rovers have just signed also?

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, it is sickening how lacking in morals the game is.}

Unruly I stick with what I said.
Lingard is a petulant child. Get rid. Pogba and lingard are a cancer at the club alongside the armatures that are put in place to run it. Rashford has had one decent season. Needs at least 4 chances a game to score. Greenwood we know has had a big attitude for a while now. He's another ravel Morrison.
All this love for rashford on here. Ask yourself would rashford make real Madrid team, juve, city Liverpool starting line up. Answer is no.
I want a mass clear out. I would rather a team full of workers with half the talent than premadonas we currently have.
