Is any team willing to take Harry Maguire off our hands, even on a free? Or are we stuck with him like Phil Jones for the future.

Ed002 I think we all expected that to be the case. This warrants the question then of who is "leaking" these stories of interest in Maguire to the press because it really seems coordinated. It's obviously ludicrous that Barcelona and Chelsea would've had an interest in him given his performance levels. If it's someone from United giving false stories to the press in some sort of PR campaign behind Maguire then that's unbelievable. Do you know if that's the case?

If I had to hazard a guess I'd say any "leaks" of interest in Harry Maguire would surely come from his camp, especially in the wake of being dropped.
Surely the only person who believes other top sides would be interested in Harry Maguire would be Harry himself.

Good to know Ed002. Not specifically about Maguire, but I'd heard from a fairly reliable source who has dealings with the club of hearing that this was something that was coming from the club itself. As you say that comment in itself is up to interpretation so thanks again for your clarification.

I thought the whole thing a bit of a non story really and certainly not worth several papers back pages.
England starting International worried about his place in the squad for the world Cup in 3 months time after being dropped by his club from starting line up. This would be pretty much what you'd expect him to feel
It's HM, the papers favourite target for the last year, it's Man Utd, it's England. It's everything ypu need for a headline when there is sweet FA else to write about.
It would be like writing a story that Ronaldo isn't happy at being on the bench which everyone knew from his moody pants face over the last 18 years when he is sat on the bench!

I thought all our Christmases had come at once when Chelsea showed some interest, but you only have to see him play to know it was BS. I’d let the numpty go on a free personally, he’s possibly the worst centre half we’ve ever had.

Of all the signings this summer, I don't know why I'm most excited about Dubravka. I feel his distribution is better than De Gea and he's a good shot stopper also. Anyone who has seen him regularly, how is he in commanding the box and coming out on crosses?
{Ed077's Note - I don't think he's that much, if any, better than De Gea at playing out from the back. I think he's a lesser version of DDG.

He will get a chance in the cups I think. Unless injury comes or an extreme run of bad form I expect DDG will start as first choice all season.
He is good cover for back up though.

Ronaldo is going nowhere. Nobody wants him and he won't take a paycut to fulfill his dreams of playing in CL. So he will be on our bench for the rest of the season coming on as impact sub. And seeing his performance off the bench this season he won't be doing much even as a sub. I know he is the greatest player of all time and I admire what he had done for the club but I don't respect him that much since he started using our name every transfer season to get higher salary from Real Madrid. He scored 20 goals last season but that really didn't take us anywhere.

Lisandro has been a great signing. Ofcourse there will be times when he makes a mistake and also because of his height but the way everyone jumped on him after 2 games was something. I remember an article saying Ajax couldn't believe when they heard how much we were willing to pay and also were laughing at United for that. Also they were very happy to let go of Licha as he was considered just an average player.

Because they know our incompetent negotiators and want to squeeze out every oenny they can get. If this was City, the transfer would have been done in before the window opened at around 50m Euros.
