I may sound like a bit of a hypocrite here but I don't think we should sack LVG now.
The time to sack him was the summer (or October last year when I could sense the stink of tedium), if we do it before the end of the season (or before we are out of all competitions), then whoever replaces him is in real trouble, almost like another SAF-Moyes scenario, but for different reasons.
We have so many games and the players seem so far entrenched in the LVG mentality that it will take several weeks to drum it out of them, time we don't have during a busy season.
We have made our bed so need to lie in it, but the minute the league and cups can no longer be won we need to ship him out and bring in somebody (anybody) else, ideally giving them a few competitive games before the end of season break so players can start to eradicate this negativity.
So as much as it pains me I think we need to give LVG until the end of the season and write this one off or hope the gods are looking down on us. Hoping the damage isn't permanent.

Mighty reds last i checked we still are above u in the table, beating a chelsea team in freefall seems to have got u on a high suppose, but then after Slippy G's brilliance in your title winning season means that beating chelsea is a big thing, o wait u did not win the title that season did u now, my bad mate.

Then what? We get our 4th manager in as many years for next year, and when we don't score for a few games we all turn on him and get the next flavour of the month in? We are in danger of wanting to be everything we have slagged other teams off or years.
