If you take a look at when players contracts run out then we can clear up a lot of the mess over the next two windows. Don't get me wrong, it would be great to get some cash for them before they leave as free agents but still, they'll be gone soon.
It looks like any funds generated this summer will go into bringing in an attacker as that is where outgoings seem to be coming from.
Gk is a poison where me may have to bite the bullet and invest.
Midfield is an issue but considering we are on one match a week and we have a lot of mediocre midfielders, I won't get my hopes up. Casimero leaving next summer frees up space and a lot of funds for the midfield.
CB is the same story with Harry Maguire.
We've suffered for 13 years. What's another 12 months eh?!
I do expect this season to be an improvement. Not hard I know!
I watched the west ham game and I thought the first 60 minutes was really positive. Yes there were loose balls all over the show but I loved the fact the press was in position waiting for the trigger. We just need someone better than Hojlund at initiating the press.

We are falling miles behind the top 4. These clubs sell their unwanted players for good money and are also getting UCL money.
Yes, things will improve when these salaries are off our books, but financially we will feel the pain of what is happening now for a long time to come.
Some of our signings will fail, it is law of averages. But we almost can't afford fir then to fail. Every one needs to be a hit to drag us back up the table. With these signings we are mortgaging our future by paying for new purchases over next few years.
I hope amorim can work some magic with these new signings and our youth players coming through. We cannot compete financially anymore with the top teams - too many mistakes to pay off.

Well, Dodgy, since most of our signings failed during these past "few" years, those average numbers owe hs a lot! We just might have the best transfer window in a while, if we are going by that ?.

And you need to hope Amorim knows what he's doing. Jury is most definitely still out on that one.
For what it's worth I think Cunha and Mbuemo are fantastic signings for you, but its only the start of what you need to compete at the top again imo.

It will be interesting to see what guidance the club gives regarding revenues in 2025/ 6. Surely they're gong to be substantially down on 2024/ 5's £670m. Meanwhile we're still going to have some hefty fixed costs beyond wages like £50m in interest + maybe £200m in amortization. Not qualifying for European football has put us at a severe financial disadvantage compared to the top teams. Our financial muscle has been squandered. So yes, we will hopefully lose some year on year expenses next year and this too if we can get rid of Sancho and Antony, and raise some cash and generate some profit with Garnacho, but the reality is top players don't come cheap and the richest clubs, whose ranks we are no longer amongst, get the first picks.

Bmena, they are very good signings but they may be into the last year of their contract before we sort the rest of the mess out and that is with minimal hiccups along the way.

I wouldn’t worry about income, we might need to stump up £4k just for the privilege to purchase a season ticket soon.
