Since Fergie left, there have, imo, been many names who soundly reflect the sheer mismanagement at all levels within the walls of OT.

Each one of Jones and Mata, Fellaini, Evans, Chicharito, Schweinsteiger, Darmian, Depay, Schneiderlin, Martial, Bailly, Mkhitaryan/ Sanchez, Pogba, Johnstone, Fred, Dalot, Blind, Rojo, Smalling, Maguire, Wan-Bissaka, Ighalo, Gomes, Fosu-Mensah, Tuanzebe, van de Beek, Telles, Sancho, Ronaldo 2.0, Garner, Henderson, Mengi, Casemiro and Antony, represents a colossal f***up from the club - imo.

That's 35 players across 11 seasons - averaging 3.18 names per season who were nowhere near worth the price (Maguire and Antony), or not remotely good enough (Schneiderlin and van de Beek), or were never given the respect they deserved (Mata and Garner), or have just simply stuck around for way too long (Jones and Martial.

As bad as the Glazers have been for the club's fortunes, these aforementioned names were handled directly by the clowns appointed to do the work the Glazers couldn't do.

Of the aforementioned players, 9 are still at the club.
2 are locked down as the only senior options for one position.
1 is a right-sided forward with a desperately poor right foot.
1 is a legendary midfield enforcer who cost way too much.
1 is a midfielder who has never looked comfortable in any midfield role at United.
1 is a lumbering oaf of a defender with the turning circle of a frigate.
1 is a petulant little boy who needs a slapping.
1 is an immensely gifted footballer who has the irritating habit of being a bone-idle, soft little mug.
And lastly, we have 1 who should never have been sold when he was, should have never been considered a serious option to return when he did, but will be one of only two senior CB options available against a Liverpool team with great attacking energy - the other being the most injury-prone defender we have.

There are many ways to interpret each of the many ways we've failed so badly - we are the gift that keeps giving, Martial and Antony are the 2 greatest examples of how pathetic we are still.

Bring on these mooted changes, please.

Liverpool fan here coming in peace.

Just think it’s absolutely mental when I look at your team in 2023 Johnny Evans is the name on the team sheet who I think can do a job against us this weekend.

You guys are terrible no doubt about it, but I’d be surprised if you didn’t show up on Sunday and give us a good game.

Sorry, but most of the OP is just ranting nonsense. Using names like Johnstone, Gomes, Fosuh-mensa, Mengi, Tuanzabe, Garner and Henderson as examples of bad club decisions, come on that is just names to pad out your 3.18 per season stat. Others like Wan Bissaka, Fred Casimero are only bad in some peoples opinion.
No Doubt the club has made mistakes, and the structure is the biggest change needed but just throwing names around for numbers is ridiculous.

inhope

I'm so glad you mentioned Wan-Bissaka after suggesting Tuanzebe being amongst the names I used to 'pad out' my point.

I'll be very clear, Tuanzebe is all day a far better defender than Wan-Bissaka and it was indeed he, not the latter, who completely shut down Mbappe during the win 3 years ago.
Fosu-Mensah is a better defender than Wan-Bissaka, as is Mengi.

Perhaps you might want to read the comment again because I didn't say Fred was a bad signing.
He's on the list because he was mismanaged and played in the wrong position by every single manager he played under at United - including ten Hag.

Ranting nonsense?
Maybe, but it usually pays to read and understand the point of a comment before throwing words around like 'ridiculous. '

Ork on what basis do you say that mengi tfm and tuanzebe are better defenders than awb?
It maybe your opinion but that's an opinion of 1 not a fact.
Those claims are ridiculous you have never seen them train never seen them at close quarters have no idea about how they conduct themselves or what their abilities are.
11 players set down psg that night not 1 or 2.
Hyperbole ridiculous nonsense stating as fact. You have every right to your opinion but its not fact. Your not even qualified to draw that conclusion considering you know so little about all of them.
Fred was a poor signing imo. Very poor player at epl level. Turkish league is maybe even above his level as he is not really excelling there either. Playing in the same position he played at united and for Brazil but of course he is not making their squad either these days now he is not a united player.
