Does anyone know what our alternative is to Pogba if we don't get him?

RebelRed

1.) 05 Jul 2016 15:17:50
If reports are correct it could be matuidi.

2.) 05 Jul 2016 15:25:37
I thought it was blaise matuidi. It makes sense aswell as he could be unsettled by them signing krychowiach.

3.) 05 Jul 2016 18:23:43
Carvalho would be worth a shout.

4.) 06 Jul 2016 10:40:59
Could well be Carvalho if we don't get Pogba.

5.) 06 Jul 2016 11:06:40
How much do you think these players would cost us?

Matuidi
Carvalho
Gomes.

6.) 06 Jul 2016 11:51:22
I don't know but Gomes and Carvalho prices are enough to put most teams off, Chlesea and United, Arsenal and United have interest respectively from what I gather. Matuidi I only know what ed said the other day. Transfer prices are rarely as clean cut as it appears I find.

7.) 06 Jul 2016 14:05:50
I can't understand why Ozan Tufan is being overlooked?

The guy is a beast, over 6ft and is only 21!

Box-to-box, he's superb and tackling is just is just scary!

He can also score a goal or two aswell!

8.) 06 Jul 2016 15:39:30
Carvalho has been poor at the Euros. Admittedly I haven't seen much more from him other than the odd game, but it's been enough to come to the conclusion that he couldn't pass water.

Matuidi on the other hand is class. He's been overshadowed by Kante, which could actually be a good thing when negotiating a price.

If we get Matuidi we have plenty of options in midfield. I fully expect our current set of midfielders to find an extra gear under Mourinho.

Just heard a British journalist named Ian, didn't get the surname, say his sources say if Fabregas moves it will be to United. He wants to back to the premier league and prefers United over anyone else.

Is it possible to ban all talk of a Pogba transfer until he either completes a move or the transfer window closes?

I'm all for a good rumour but this has been reviewed and covered to death!

:)

I agree it's getting monotonous reading his name over and over.

2.) 12 Jul 2016 18:58:58
Yeah, not that bothered if he does or doesn't tbh, can't be arsed with all 'the will he stay, will he go' that we will have in two years time and from then on, when they fancy another payday and Real/ Barca come sniffing. Get a solid CB in and maybe the young Mexican winger and let's go with that. Let TFM have some midfield time this season and see if he can get to where Pogba is/ will be in years to come, I think he might.

3.) 12 Jul 2016 20:46:30
His name will be my latest swear word if I see much more of it.
The player in a red shirt? That would be most welcome.

How good is the Argentina keeper we're supposed to getting anyone? Or the Dutch Ajax keeper? Looks like De Gea and Ramos are on.

Romero isn't good enough to be #1, Cillisen, i'll admit haven't seen much of him, but worries me. Few here, including moon who is a teachers pet and does his homework ;) seem to think he's the real deal.

2.) 21 Jul 2015 21:26:23
How does it look like the deal is on mate?

3.) 22 Jul 2015 13:06:07
I wrote a little bit on Cillessen a while back. I think he's a decent Goalkeeper and wouldn't look out of place.

So what if we don't get Fabregas, maybe we will, but what if we don't? That's two high profile rejections from players in one transfer window.

What effect would it have on the image of the club overall?

I would agree with people on here with say we're taking a blind bid at Fabregas. I think we must have had one positive sign to do so.

RebelRed

1.) I think we may have had more than one. We know Barca need money, so they can sign Thiago Silva, and we know they need to sell to get that money. Since they have Iniesta, Xavi, Busquets, Song, Roberto and Rafinha, they may deem Fabregas a good option to sell. Other than that they may sell Sanchez, but I think one of those two will leave.

I'd have to disagree Ronaldo is not about money.
He's a great player and I would lobe to see him back here but if we wasn't about money why is he asking to be the highest paid footballer in the world?

United fans all knew how important Roy Keane was but did he get the recognition as a player he deserved? Only winning PFA player of the year once. He was an absolute beast of a player and one of the reasons Scholes was able to perform as at such a high level.

I remember Giggs saying he found it hard to drop players when he took over for his short spell after Moyes. Not exactly management material if you find it hard to make those decisions when you're trying to make an impression.

Martial has not had a great start to the season IMO. I would have Lingard Zlatan Rashford as front three. I would prefer to see Mikki play in behind them or Mata.

It's Jose who is pulling out all the stops to get Pogba. He is the one who wants him so bad he has instructed Ed to do all he can to get him. He doesn't care what Pogba said about United in the past or the circumstances around why he left. He wants him for what he can bring to Jose's team.

Let's give Jose credit for having the success he's had to know what he's doing.

I agree he does not dictate games enough and can go missing but looks like it's happening so let's see.

Point taken guys, I didn't what Raph had written properly. And I agree that players performances can overshadow an incident.

I guess that makes Young a scapegoat due to his lack of ability.

Wrong either way.

I've seen Gerrard almost end careers with his two footed tackles over the top and not half the uproar.
