Hi Ed, Any truth to a report I've just read about Elanga to Everton on loan? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Anthony Elanga (LW/RW) Everton offer an option to give Elanga decent game time.}

I suppose it depends on where EtH feels the players are.

Rashford has been in excellent form but has historically played best off the left.

Antony is first choice on the Right.

If Sancho is likely to be back soon then that's three established first teamers ahead of Elanga.

Add to that Garnacho has seemingly leapfrogged him for a first team spot then now Elanga is 5th choice for the two wide spots.

If Martial stays fit and we sign someone like Weghoust enabling Rashford to play wide more often than Elanga's minutes will be limited between now and the summer.

He needs minutes under his belt if he is to continue to develop and have any chance of fighting for a first team spot at Manchester United. Maybe he can get that at Everton.

If we really need a 5th choice option out wide then maybe Shoretire can deputise.

Shapyyyyy, You forgot about poor old pellestri, surely he can be 5th choice. Or do you anticipate him also getting a loan?

I expect Pellistri to leave in January either on loan or permanently. At least that was what his agents are trying to do anyway.

Shappy……. do you work for United?

Pellestri looked OK when he came on. Hopefully he gets some more game time if elanga goes on loan.

He done more in 10 minutes than Elanga did whole game.

ETH just doesn’t see it every day otherwise he’d give him a game.

With Iwobi injured, makes even more sense for Elanga to move to everton.

Given our dire finances, probably need money from Elanga loan to pay for Werhorst.

Pellestri was given his debut by ETH and played at a relatively easier game than our normal games. He definitely shined yesterday.

Unlike LVG or Ole, with ETH it definitely feels like all of these young players have a development plan. They are not being chucked into whatever game at wherever time and if they work great, if they don't just check them out and forget about them.

He's rewarding players too. Mainoo started ahead of Iqbal whereas Iqbal was ahead of him in pre-season.

He is not a perfect manager, so much of what's he's doing is imo way ahead of schedule.

Would probably wait for the managerial situation at Everton to clear up before sending elanga on loan there.

What schedule rohan?

With these cup runs United currently have a minimum of 26 games left to complete in four and half months. Do they have quality and the squad depth? . They’ll definitely tire towards the end of the campaign.

FiremanC, no I don't, but his agent came out publicly during the WC and said that they needed to find a solution for Pellistri in January for either a loan or permanent move so he can get playing time.

So I assume that is what his agent has been doing.

Maybe EtH convinces him to stay and and will give him more game time. However, he only made his debut for the final 6 minutes against a tiring league one Charlton side. He did as well as he could given the circumstances and maybe that'll lead to more game time. Reading between the lines though it doesn't look like EtH considers him a key first team player. Not when you consider some players have over 2000 minutes of football for United under EtH this season and Pellistri has just the 6 minutes. McNeill and Mainoo have more minutes.
