1st time poster long time reader, lassana Diarra is apparently a free agent at the minute does anyone think this could be a good stop gap to help out in midfield until January reinforcements can b brought in?

SG1

1.) He's never been my fav player. If that's the way to go then song would have been a better option. But then again, LvG's genius is beyond me. The Free bit is appealing :)

If they showed half as much passion as scholesy and rio did in the studio last night we wouldn't be in the mess were in.

Passion comes from the manager down.

2.) 11 Mar 2016 07:50:41
Not this season it doesn't.

3.) 11 Mar 2016 08:11:30
I know he's got kids but it makes me wonder how he managed to have these as nothing seems to excite him! Dithering idiot who should've been sacked 5 months ago.

4.) 11 Mar 2016 08:34:34
Why should the team show passion when the manager sits on his backside the entire game and can't be bothered.

A manager should show passion and that passion should flow through to the team.

Instead we have a manager who believes he can program players and that should be enough as they have their robotic jobs to do. Thus we play as a team of individually programmed robots, devoid of passion, devoid of spontaneous thought devoid of the ability to take a chance make a run.

For the fourth game (that I can remember) this season we have just one shot on target, where are our experienced forwards, our proven goal scorers, our match winners? Oh I forgot he's injured and the others (RVP in particular) have gone and not been replaced.

I can't believe (that should be 'I find it unbelievable') we will leave LVG in charge until the champions league is mathematically out of reach, as if we do then both the manager and chairman should go.

Rant over but I feel better for it.

JTRED,

My manager is a bit of a tit, but I still show passion every day in my job as I have personal and professional pride.

6.) 11 Mar 2016 10:15:36
GDS2

I also would like to think I have personal and professional pride and have worked for managers who maybe a bit of a tit and managers I fully respect.

The bit of a tit managers; I find myself eventually going through the motions as they tend to be dogmatic and insist on a certain way, thus I have eventually left.

The managers I fully respect I find a lot easier to work with and develop working practises, thus improving what is produced at work.

What a difference Rooney made tonight. Constantly making runs in behind which has been lacking so far this season. Created the extra space for the midfield and gave them forward options

It's because they were open and coming out to score which they had too. It's when a team sits 10 behind the ball we don't have that exquisite player to unlock the defence

2.) 26 Aug 2015 23:51:55
Agreed, looks like he might Be getting fully fit. If so, he will be a real danger

3.) 27 Aug 2015 02:29:07
Don't want to be a damp squib, but one of my main beefs with Wayne over the years, is his inability to start a season fully fit.

We shouldn't have to wait x number of games for him to get his finger out.

Good result, tho :)

Great result and performance yesterday!! biggest test to come against chelsea, I'm sure mourinho who is best tactician in a one off game in the league will have a plan. does anyone think LVG will change tactics against them or stick to same side/formation?

SG1

1.) 13 Apr 2015 14:41:58
Ideally SG in theory yes I would play the same team against Chelsea but like you said Jose will be monitoring our team at the moment and looking for weaknesses. It might not be a bad idea to tinkle a bit with the side to throw him a little. Then again in this form we could smash anyone on our day.

2.) 13 Apr 2015 16:53:05
Id just swap everyone on the left to the right and right to left that should throw him off a bit ;)

3.) 13 Apr 2015 17:30:39
Fabregas was shocking yesterday, best thing to happen was him getting the winner, so he is included. They look out of energy and I think Valencia will do well against Hazard, so basically we will beat them if we play as we have done as their key players are AWOL or will be taken care of.

4.) 13 Apr 2015 18:12:16
Jose will set up defensively and make sure they do not lose and if possible nick it by the odd goal. He does that in all big games.

5.) 13 Apr 2015 21:53:02
I imagine chelsea will get compact, sit deep and park the bus a little. Fellaini will possibly be the key in this game along with service from young and mata. Chelsea know we will want to come for the win so they will play on the counter. I think we will need to just try and get the first goal as I think whoever scores first will likely go on to win. I'm going to stick my neck out and go for 1-2 to us.

Agreed jred but also Rooney form depends on him staying injury free. When he gets a run of games he gets his sharpness back unfortunately after every injury it seems to take him 4 or 5 games to get back to his level.
