Worst year in 40 years imo. scousers winning the league and we playing like this. Many mates travelled to Everton and getting fed up now.

Tell them not to bother going if they are fed up. Things are looking up for the 1st time in years. Getting a handle on the business costs and cutting out the waste and inefficiency. Positive times ahead.

Too many people think it's easy to just come into a mess and get the team going straight away.

Yes, it's not ideal that RA has only one way of playing, but it's a style that can dominate when the right players are put into the system.

We could have gone and got a safe option to "steady the ship" but we'd be in no better shape in the long-term.

This is the first time (other than EtH, who failed) we have a coach rather than a manager. So it's obviously going to take time to get things right.

Tumble you been on the beers, not sure why you think making the tea lady redundant and putting ticket prices up and spending nothing on players and paying out fortunes on hiring then sacking execs. and adding nothing to a team that can’t score a goal and got a clown in goal = things are looking up.

Really positive outlook for the future imo.
The business is being restructured and doing what it needs to do. Mistakes will happen.
I'm not bothered by any job loss if the business warrants it. The culture has to change right throughout the business. It is a business. Costs must be brought under control in every single debt.
Watch how our player wages will be slashed over the next 18 months.

I think if we'd gone for Southgate and this is where we were, we'd be baying for him.
Amorim is very likeable and talks a great game.
I haven't seen very much at all that he's the 'right' man, but like most have been sucked in by his talk and the potential of things to come. I imagine Ineos are praying that it all suddenly clicks when he has his summer clear-out, because if he's still not up to par with his players what then.
But yeah, otherwise very hopeful!

My opinion is that the club wanted to make a grandstand gesture after sacking ETH.

Ashworth wanted to take time, and wait until the end of the season.

Amorim wanted to see out the season at Sporting because he realised how difficult it would be to come in mid season and change everything.

The club knew that there would be limited funds available in January too.

They gave Amorim an ultimatum, and pushed Ashworth out the door. Now we are floundering because it’s really difficult for a new manager, with no experience in the EPL, to come into a struggling side, try to completely change the tactical approach, and get results.

Common sense should have prevailed. Ruud would have done a decent job seeing out this season. Plans could have been made to prepare for Amorim. More money to bring players for his system in. More time to get unnecessary players out the door. The whole summer to get the squad used to his system.

Instead, the club wanted to wave their willies around and show everyone that United were a big bold club. The result is this, and I’m not sure if we’ll ever get the chance to see if Amorim’s system could have worked. He has been on the back foot since he arrived, and always fighting against the tide.

You pays your money, you takes your choice. He's either the next big thing, or horribly out of his depth. I really want to believe he is the man to fIx this, bit it's hard to do so when you see the performances. Several, Danny is spot on.

Good young player and not great and not from our academy. We got the boy at 17 from Spain. He is average in build up play. we can do better.

Luke Vhaw is a very good lad and know him and his family. He is not what you lot make him out to be. He trained hard to play for his country. No shame in that and no shame in getting injured for trying. Most will not be playing football if you saw his leg after he broke it. Right mentality and united type player.

You all deluded. These players are much better than what we seeing. This fella is a kid in a big mans job and not right for our league. Reckon they sack him once we all out the cup competitions and close to relegation. Should have signed Tuchel but this lot are as bad as the last ones.

Everybody changes managers and they improve we only ones who get worse. Its a disgrace. Wait till 75k let him know he needs to go and its coming no doubts about it.

This manager will get sacked. He has made us worse. When a manager makes the lads worse he is no good, don't care for all his talking. Good managers make average, poor, good teams better not worse.
