What I saw at Newcastle was Utd consistently giving the ball away trying to thread the ball through the eye of a needle or just not taking the necessary time to judge the pass correctly.

Rashford is rightly getting slated for his lack of effort but is he being told to stay loose and be ready for the counter, is Martial is Garnacho?

ETH has said he wants Utd to be the best team in transition and is that why we are constantly looking for the out pass that is cut out, 9 out of 10 times?

ETH does not seem to want to change shape or tactics, he hasn't changed anything and why I ask, as the current ideas are clearly not working.

Garnacho should be the one out of those staying loose for the counter, he already has a better end product and football intelligence than Rashford. It’s time people saw through this oh he’s a local boy so is Man Utd and he will come thru it gimmick, he is overpaid and lazy, he does not put effort in, he does not run, he is not a role model or barometer for any younger player at that club, and it’s not for the first time and it’s not under the first manager he’s been like this, let’s not let a decent run last Feb fool us, as bad eggs go he is one of them, I don’t care if he was born on the centre spot of OT he is a big issue at this club, of course not the only one, there are several who should have left this club a long time ago and other bad eggs, but this club is in dire need need of players who can handle this club, players to lead the way for the younger lads or to galvanise the team on pitch when it’s not going well, at present what do Nacho, Mainoo, Hojlund have, a sulking Rash and a whining Bruno, yes injuries have hampered us but there is a big summer ahead and big appointments to be made under the SJR footballing side regime.

I don't actually know anymore what it is ETH is doing in training, is it the players who can't get to grips or don't want to get to grips with what he is implementing (whatever that is) or is it that ETH isn't really that good? I really hoped he would be a success but when I look at Villa, Wolves Newcastle, Spurs, Brighton i'm envious of the football they play, the commitment, the work rate and I wonder is it all down to our poor players or more to it than that? As much as i'd be happy to see 6-7 players shipped out I have serious doubts about ETH ability to coach in the PL.

It's pretty simple, those clubs you mentioned don't have a 350k a week star boy on their team who can't be bothered running, challenging or working hard. A player who is the worst player on the pitch on the most money and clearly is undroppable.

And they have decent man managers, not a out of depth school teacher.

5.) 05 Dec 2023 04:25:20
Oh hi tripplelock, not seen you here before. Perhaps you know some inside info from the player's side? Perhaps you could pass on that the fans do not feel sorry for players that have to train hard, show up to training on time and actually run and press in a game. These players are disrespecting the fans and the club. End of.

It is being reported that current staff are worried for their futures if SJR bid goes through.

I should hope they are worried, as the senior management have hardly covered themselves with glory, in fact quite the opposite.

They should be more worried at the rate Jred's are multiplying.

Mass extinction coming and all that remains is a world of Jreds.

Mumbles

Don't forget the many skins of Ken.

3.) 16 Oct 2023 20:21:38
Mumbles ?

Jred you need to use Google Password Manager or something, you've ended up with more alt accounts than MAZE!

4.) 17 Oct 2023 02:08:38
What if I told you jred, ken and Maze are all the same person ?.

5.) 17 Oct 2023 08:44:32
I'll come clean, I was jrred before jrred3, not jred and certainly not ken or Maze.

I occasionally post but have been a regular reader of the site since it's early days but cannot remember what my user name was back then.

What if I told you that GDS2 Giggs to Sherringham along with Shappy and Ahmed are one of the same too…., strange ain’t it!

You know, we could all be different personalities within the single mind of a rather tormented football fan - we could each be a part of Ken. :○.

Maybe it is because there is a lot of competition for places at City and the players are willing to play through pain/ niggles just to get a game?

BDR I agree they are both to blame. We play a big team (Liverpool) and yes we get a little rub of the green/ luck but the effort deserved the win and don't forget the 1st 35 mins we should have been out of sight.

Then we roll up at Brentford and they up their game, as they are playing a big team and yes they should have won the game hands down for the effort they applied. We did not apply ourselves, as we did against Liverpool and so paid the price of being played off the field.

All too often this season (and last) we do not turn up for the so called lesser teams.

We need maximum effort every game and that is down to the manager, to make sure the players totally understand what is required and also the players, they have to take responsibility for their own part.

I respectfully disagree Wazza, that our problem isn't the striker, although I do agree about the very poor service, it is shocking. Hojlund does not attack the space enough he is too often caught on his heels or static, he needs help to bring on his game, someone to play off, someone to learn off.

The only trouble is we have wasted an enormous amount of money on players not suited and given out ridiculous 5 year lucrative contracts, so now to buy a top striker, we will struggle to finance the deal within FFP.

We won't be anywhere near top 6 Shappy, if we do not buy/ loan a striker, far too few goals from us.

Dodgy, I wouldn't say McT was running into Hojlund's space but was attacking the space where he thought the ball would be played in to, that is exactly what Hojlund should be doing, making runs and attacking the space. Even if the ball is not played in to the space, at lest he would be pulling the defence around.
