Many may not remember but the current Utd demise is a rerun of the days after Matt Busby. Manager after manager and years of pain. It was not resolved until the youngsters came through en masse in the early 90,s and Fergie got a grip. Utd have not traditionally rebuilt in the transfer market and it looks as though they won, t this time either. Suggest they look to youth supplemented by solid and experienced players and get rid of the aging prima donnas who think the club should play to their tune.

Yeah it's a rerun of the days after Matt Busby ok with Fergie playing the Matt Busby role this time, and.

Not wqhite accurate, the first of the kids didn't hit the first team until '96, the 93/ 94 titles were transfers led. The FA Cup in '90 started the run, League Cup and Cup Winners Cup followed and then 2 titles. Only then did the first of the Class of'92 become a regular.

Yeah AJH too many people think the Ckass of 92 were the start of our rebirth, in fact they were the second team Fergie won a title with. The bug thing about the kids then was they cane into a squad where the old pros demanded they trained hard and met the required standard. The talk back then was that Robbo Keane Ince (although sold to Inter as the kids hit the first team) went in extremely hard in training and gave them an education.

Schmeichel, Parker, irwin, Bruce, Sharpe, pallister, Cantona, Ince, Mcclair, hughes, Giggs. Not too many local lads in the 92/ 93 team I’m afraid.

What a season though.

I loved that first team, we were improving and could beat anyone on our day but Eric's arrival sealed it. They could play great football, they enjoyed a scrap, a team of warriors.

GDS2, I was 9 years old then and they’re still some of my favourite memories supporting this club. Eric’s arrival was perfect timing. God I loved them days!

2toms,

I was 7 and remember it like it was yesterday. I guess when your team wins the league at that age it makes you support even more, winning is good. Feel like we are being punished now for our childhood!

Sad to see Utd in such a state but it reminds me of the post Busby era, Frank Farrel, Tommy Doc et al.
To my mind Utd now have too many prima donna's that go back to the Ferguson era and they need claering out. The recruitment has also been abismal, more spoilt over paid posers. It's really down to Woodward who does have a footballing cell in his brain, need a director of football to support OGS and keep Woodward's head in the accounts.
Get rid of the prima donnas and the old lags and rebuild with the young and hungry. To me that means if De Gea can't give his commiyment let him go, Young needs to be put out to grass, Herrera as De Gea, Pogba too much of a poser, Mata on the way down, Matic not a Utd man, Martial not committted and too moody and Lukaku not Utd's style. Clear out and rebuild, an interesting summer in store I suspect.

Sorry forgot Sanchez, a waste of money and space also with bad attitude, Smalling and Jones, beyond their sell by date for Utd. Also need a Captain Utd through and through, could this be McTomminay, someone in the Brian Robson/ Keane mould. You got a big job Ollie!

Could it be that Man Utd get sanctioned out of the Champions League or even European competition as a result of this protest that won't achieve anything. Good move on the part of those who joined in. I'm full of admiration.
