I think Red man may have been right, talks were had and pressure was put on him from above to make some changes and to save face just a couple of little ones were made by RA, but resulted in him winning, so now it’s interesting!

It’s the problem with him being so stubborn and not adapting that’s the problem, at least he made subtle adjustments against Sunderland but one does wonder if pressure from above was put upon him, like the rumours stated were.
Let’s hope the penny finally drops with him that changes are needed to win matches in epl, you can’t only have one fixed idea and never deviate.
He still won’t last because not sure he got mentality or experience to do the job
Ineos at end of day will have to admit they got it wrong and in fact Ashworth was totally correct.

The facts are still that RA not won 2 on the trot, got lowest % win rate of any United manager only got 1 way of playing, changed CBs 44 times out of 50 and in game management is poor, talks a good game, but there is zero evidence he can walk the walk at United.
Ineos are probably working on a replacement as we speak and RA can have no complaints, I would have loved him to succeed, but not a cat in hells chance any manager with just 1 solitary way of playing will succeed in this league, even Pep changes, Slow won league last year he is changing too, you got to evolve and it appears RA knows absolutely no other way, that’s my concern.

Let’s not get carried away with another false dawn and have some perspective here. We were at home against a team just promoted who looked like rabbits in headlights with 70k people shouting down on them.
But of course we have reached the level that we are so pleased nowadays to get 3 points at home against a team that will probably be fighting relegation come end of season.
Yes 3 points and very importantly clean sheet, but have some perspective it was no great show and we still looked all over the place in defence and midfield, more to do with the opposition than anything else that we got 3 points.
