Exactly, you can go on and on. Mahrez, de bryune, foden none are physical players, but they have a football brain and the physical aspect doesn't hold them back. David Silva was amazing tiny guy, Juan Mata at Chelsea was amazing, Paul scholes not very big was a great midfielder, and many many others. You can be as big as you want but if you don't know how to pass the ball you're nothing. Barcelona destroyed everyone with xavi and iniesta, not physically strong. Luka modric isn't a strong guy he's one of the best Center mids in the world, verrati, soooo many other players I can name.

I understand we all have opinions but reading your posts has given me mine about your football knowledge, and that is you're absolutely clueless about what makes a good player and what doesn't. What's this obsession with physicality, the best teams have technical players not physical. Our midfield is Fred and mctominnay who are both known as physical as you say, and I'd take de Jong and van de beek over them anyday of the week. Just look at all the physical midfielders city has that dominate this physical league as you say. Stop spewing your opinion you're clueless.

Did anyone else notice shoretire being noticeably taller and bigger in his last cameo compared to the one he has under ole. I'm guessing he grew a little.

Shaws only problem is his injuries. Ability wise he's way above telles, and any others we have been linked to. I think Williams is good enough to back him up, and the young kid in the academy seems to be a good one for the future.

Just saw something on Instagram, I think he's a good box to box midfielder.

DodgyBanter all you have to do is check how many matches he's played. It's not excuses for him, it's simple that he hasn't had a run of games. If he played over 30 matches in a season and shown nothing then I'm ready to write him off. We've given Fred and mctomm over 3 years each and people still support them even though they've shown nothing with actual game time.

So after one game where he started, and was completely ignored by his teammates over and over again, to you it means he's shown nothing. Over the past two seasons he's been hardly given a run of games but you see that as his fault. Players need time to adjust to play a few games in a row it doesn't happen magically.

Obviously you haven't played the game or you would know that. Every time we play with Ronaldo it goes something like this. The other players pass it to bruno who rushes to make a cross or long pass to Ronaldo or else Ronaldo throws a fit or starts crying. Donny plays in a team system give and go, making dummy runs, never gives it away.

Once we become a better possession team Donny will shine I have no doubt. He gets the game, he's technically very good, so I'm not willing to write him off. Especially since somehow people still have support for fred when he's played full seasons and he's been dreadful.

We are talking about the player being respected because he works his ass off and still does ok for a player with much less ability than some of the other premadonnas we have, pogba is a highly talented player and he's failed miserably for us. You can be as talented as you want but if you don't work hard you won't successful and the fans won't respect you.

I think people respect mctominnay because he does his best and doesn't complain about anything, people like players that respect the club and no matter how gifted he is, he plays his heart out every time.

I understand struggling with confidence, but the fact that he doesn't show any effort to get out of the rut is the problem. a lot of players go through low points, but you don't stop working hard and hoping it magically reappears.
