Martial going to Saudi in this window? Are we that lucky at the start of 2024?
1.) 05 Jan 2024 19:27:33
€8m offer from Fenerbahce.
Yep, I'd take that and throw in some biscuits.
2.) 05 Jan 2024 20:18:56
He obviously needs to go, but he's sat on the bench happily taking a wage for yonks and pulling out of the match squad every time he sneezes - why wouldn't he just sit tight for six months and be a free agent and take the signing on fee for himself?
3.) 06 Jan 2024 00:02:34
If Martial goes this window, 2024 is completed! ?.
4.) 06 Jan 2024 03:07:40
No chance Martial will go to Fenerbache this window when he could stay with us for another six months, make more than he would in three years at Fenerbache, and then get a decent signing on fee in the summer.
The only way I see him leaving for a fee in January is if a Saudi club comes in for him and offer a similar wage to the one we’re paying, but I don’t think any of them are that stupid.
5.) 08 Jan 2024 06:21:53
Agree no way he will go. He will collect his wages, contribute nothing and go on a free come summer and get a nice juicy sign on bonus somewhere for himself and his agent.
15 Aug 2021 14:02:07
Not sure if this has been spoken about already (i can't search posts because the search function won't work on my phone) .
Lingard had a decent showing at westham last season and we need to get him off our books. so are westham intersted in buying him? Or have they shown interest and we have put priced a move for some reason?
{Ed002's Note - Jesse Lingard (AM) West Ham want loan to permanent but Brendan Rodgers is keen on taking him to Everton. Manchester United will cash in if they get a decent offer.}
1.) 15 Aug 2021 14:37:04
Thanku ed.
2.) 15 Aug 2021 16:34:52
Isn't Brendan Rodgers the Leicester manager? Are Leicester interested or Everton?
{Ed002's Note - Rafa.
3.) 17 Aug 2021 02:07:01
Cheers Ed.
16 Nov 2017 19:27:56
I can't see the shark pod.

1.) 16 Nov 2017 19:42:33
Hmmm! Lewandowski or Harry Kane!?!?
How do you decide that one! Cheers for that though Ed 002.
2.) 16 Nov 2017 20:00:26
Thank you very much ed, much appreciated.
3.) 16 Nov 2017 21:41:36
Thanks very much ed,
4.) 17 Nov 2017 11:57:41
Really kind to give us your precious time Ed, thank you. Love making time to sit down with a cup of tea and savour every second.
{Ed002's Note - Glad you enjoyed it.}

Reports today stating fellaini has rejected offers to extend contrqct with us.
Dont normally buy in to the rags news but i wreckon this is probably true.
1.) 15 Nov 2017 14:51:53
why are we trying to get him to extend? he's not good enough for one and he doesn't want to be here for two. few good performances in a red shirt do not mean he's united quality
get rid in jan and bring in goretzka.
2.) 15 Nov 2017 15:29:21
Disagree completely redwhiskey.
Fellaini is very good for the position/ role he plays which is an impact sub and he's proven this time after time especially under jose.
But if he wants to start week in week out then yes, he will have to move on.
3.) 15 Nov 2017 16:03:02
He is 29 he wants to start regularly. It's his last big opportunity to negotiate a last big contract on his terms.
Does he want to be a impact sub here and be a cover player or does he want to get the same or more money at a lesser club or a big club in a lesser league.
He is a very good pro and has shown great attitude and professionalism during his time here and yes he does possess obvious and different attributes to other players but he is not my cup of tea. I respect him as a man and as a professional and jose rates him so i'm indifferent. If the manager wants him In the squad for next season then fine but if the player doesn't want to be here and wants to try something else I won't be disappointed.
Put yourself in his shoes 20 starts and 30 bench appearances at united is the best he can hope for and that's before united sign another midfielder in the summer. He knows he can't command a regular starting position so i would admire him if he chooses to move to Turkey to play weekly and this is his last chance to do that and command huge wages if he goes on a free or nominal fee.
4.) 15 Nov 2017 17:48:59
get real zidane. he was a poor buy and is nothing more than a pump it up option. anti football in my eyes. he is professional and tries hard but that is it. he papers over the cracks with the odd goal. if mourinho rated him so highly he'd be starting. the football were playing at the min is dross enough before bringing that overpaid hairy git on. let him leave for whatever we can get. he's not the answer for anything. if fellaini is the best we can hope for in terms of impact then its no wonder we're a laughing stock at the moment.
5.) 15 Nov 2017 18:48:05
He is no where near United quality, he gives so many fouls away when brought on to impact a game which always seems to break up our play. Personally would have sold a while ago but def take whatever we can get in jan.
6.) 15 Nov 2017 19:04:07
Twenty u need to look at the stats for fellaini and his fouls/ bookings for us over the last 2-3 years.
Sorry gents but IMO he is a positive for UTD if he's happy o be a sub and he obviously isn't happy with that.
7.) 15 Nov 2017 19:42:51
It says it all when we send him on to try and win a game by just lumping it forward for his elbows to give away a foul, I don’t need to look at stats I’ve witnessed with my own eyes on far to many occasions. It was a panic buy, one in which we actually ended up paying more than if we bought him sooner. If we really wanted to him we would have paid the cheaper price a month prior. That move made us look a bit stupid. Do you really think He would get in the Chelsea line up? City? Spurs? No! It was a big mistake from day one.
8.) 15 Nov 2017 19:48:21
Lol whiskey I've been listening how crap fellaini is for ages yet one of the most successful managers in the history of the game loves him, he walks into arguably the most talented individual team in Belgium and gives nothing less than 100 % everytime he puts a united shirt on and has delivered in some very nervy/ important moments for us .
What does this guy along with endless others have to do to be given a little respect from our "fans"? .
9.) 15 Nov 2017 20:00:03
Whiskey u have your opinion and i have mine (the stats on elbows and bookings are fact though) .
There are more than a few people on this site who see the value in him and there are some who dont. As i have said, IMO i would like him to stay.
10.) 15 Nov 2017 20:01:38
DEANo does this most successful manager really rate him? Someone you throw on to try and scrape a result? That’s not rating someone! If I rate someone I play him week in week out a certain starter. Free up the wage bill let him go and get someone better in. I would give 100% if I played for United doesn’t mean I deserve to be at the club.
11.) 15 Nov 2017 20:10:01
Deano - We are seriously low on combative midfielders. Jose was never going to let him go with no time to bring in alternatives. Saying Jose loves him is a bit OTT, he is needed. It's that simple. I'd be very surprised if Jose was managing PSG or anyone for that matter and he gave Fellaini a call. We need Fellaini right now, it that simple.
12.) 15 Nov 2017 21:57:07
In some games you need the physical player to get stuck in.
It's not all about fancy players.
Fellani is good for us in both boxes for set pieces and he as a bit of heart.
13.) 15 Nov 2017 22:44:36
Mourinho clearly rates him as a squad player and I'm fairly sure he probably is better placed to make the call than any of us.
14.) 15 Nov 2017 23:18:25
Exactly leahy and RW.
15.) 15 Nov 2017 23:42:59
Mourinho likes Fellaini as he does what he is told. Is Red Whiskey, Maze? Or a Liverpool supporter? If he mentions, Park the bus, Maureen or Hoofball, then we will know.
16.) 16 Nov 2017 00:04:58
🤣🤣 MAZE has been MIA for a while now even afyer some questionable performances.
17.) 16 Nov 2017 13:56:31
I am a united fan just don't see the point in keeping a player who doesn't wanna be here, is nowhere near good enough and was a terrible buy. i'm entitled to an opinion.
18.) 18 Nov 2017 06:44:38
Some said over here that in some games you need the physical player to get stuck in. I think you have enough physicality in your squad to not be depending on Fellaini :D Arguably the most physical squad in the league.
31 Aug 2017 21:41:10
Mahrez to chelski so willian to utd. would be a good move for us IMO.

Seems there's a very good chance that ETH may be moved on. Looking at what managers are available for next season. for me Southgate is a massive no, I was sort of hoping for tuchel the last time he was available but he didn't pull up any trees in the PL. I genuinely thought he would have been the new jose and just bosses the league (not pep) but the rest.
Is Zidane available? what's the general feeling on him? We all know he did well at RM but UTD are a different animal. For me. I think ZZ would bring discipline that's been missing.
1.) 26 Apr 2024 09:23:47
Everybody thought ETH "would bring discipline that's been missing. "
Oh wait on, he has and now folk are complaining that having done it he has alienated the players and should be sacked. You couldn't make it up!
2.) 26 Apr 2024 10:36:09
He going nowhere.
3.) 26 Apr 2024 11:29:24
Bye bye.
4.) 26 Apr 2024 17:03:42
Zidane at United ???? He walked into an absolutely star studded world class dressing room at Real Madrid. We don't have that at United. It would be an absolute disaster. Ten hag needs to be backed properly above with a proper structure of football men in the right places and he needs to be given time. Arteta was backed to the hilt through some very troubling times, he also moved on pretty much the whole squad. We need something similar at United and only then will we see us turn the corner. Patience is needed here to mould a brand new squad.
16 Jun 2023 23:37:32
As it stands. if ddg goes we are desperate for a no.1 keeper.
2nd most important is a genuine striker.
There are other areas needed to be looked at BUT the team. we had stain just gone, would have scored way more with a genuine elite stfiker.
If ddg goes and we still have our current defense. the new keeper needs to be a magician.
1.) 17 Jun 2023 01:03:27
Let's see what we can do. But I am worried we were planning for DDG to stay one more year, and now plans have changed it may affect us in other areas.
If we end up with Henderson, or pickford. Or we see Macguire staying because we can't afford a CB then we could be weaker than one more year of DDG.
2.) 17 Jun 2023 07:49:55
The club always planned to sign a keeper at least capable of challenging DDG for the No.1 shirt.
That was always on the cards. If DDG leaves it just means the new keeper comes in without a genuine No.1 to challenge them for a starting place.
I'm in two minds about this to be honest. In most positions competition is a good thing, it pushes the players to perform and keeps them on their toes, while also having the ability to rotate to rest players throughout the season.
However, serious competition amongst goalkeepers rarely is beneficial. It's not a position where you want or need to rotate. Fatigue isn't such an issue, while constant chopping and changes tends to lead to indecision in the defence and a lack of confidence and cohesion.
I understand the concern that if DDG leaves and the new keeper struggles then what do we do. Keeping DDG kind of feels like an insurance policy against the potential of poor recruitment.
Yet in reality like a couple of season's ago when DDG and Henderson were fighting it out for the No.1 it tends to just create friction and indecisiveness in our defence.
A clean break and a new keeper who suits a modern style that the manager is trying to implement is probably the best way forward.
While it also allows a great servant of the club to leave through the front door with his head held high rather than slinking out through the backdoor.
3.) 17 Jun 2023 09:10:24
Ed1 - what’s your view on Henderson? Good keeper, or another average player?
{Ed001's Note - good keeper, but not a great one and spent too many years sitting on the bench so lacks experience as well. He also seems to pick up a fair few injuries, which is worrying and, while better than de Gea with his feet, he is not top class with them either. For me, you either go and get a proper modern keeper (Maignan to keep 77 happy or similar) or you stick with de Gea. Henderson missed his chance and his attitude and mouth means I would not want to keep him. Any player who thinks it is ok to leak things to the press is bad for the dressing room atmosphere.}
4.) 17 Jun 2023 09:59:33
Henderson's goose was cooked after his comments last year. His ego has always been bigger than his talent and hopefully we can wrap up a deal which sees him stay in Nottingham.
5.) 17 Jun 2023 11:24:06
Thanks Ed. I’m inclined to agree with you. Think a mid table club is where he belongs at best. Wondered if Ten Hag had other ideas that’s all.
{Ed001's Note - last I heard Ten Hag was wanting to sell him to Forest on a permanent basis.}
6.) 17 Jun 2023 15:46:20
I wondered whether EtH would give him a chance as in his last season at Ajax they approached us to take Henderson on loan while Onana was out suspended. Which seems to suggest that EtH did at least once rate him a good player. Yet Henderson turned them down.
Reportedly EtH spoke with him in January about returning to the club to challenge DDG. With Henderson again turning the dutchman down unless he would receive guarantees about being first choice.
That alongside his interview last year seems to suggest his time is finished. He is a good player who at one point had the potential to be great but injury and lack of playing time has probably put paid to that now. While his attitude leaves a lot to be desired.
7.) 17 Jun 2023 16:32:06
Maignan looked immense against Napoli in the CL to be fair. Had that aura about him only a few goalkeepers seem to have.
15 Apr 2023 02:46:31
No butcher for the rest of the season. doesn't mean we will turn veggie (well hope we dont)
25 Mar 2023 12:36:47
Question to you all. had a debate in the pub yesterday about the following.
Do you guys think Pogba would have thrived if he'd had casimero in the side? Or more to the point, if PP was in this current side? The debate was that casimero in particular would have let PP play his game. and ETH set up would suit him better.
1.) 25 Mar 2023 13:30:32
I doubt it, plus for Casemiro to line up alongside Pogba he'd need to be injured sitting on the physio's table, as that is on the only place Pogba plays now.
2.) 25 Mar 2023 14:25:24
Just looked it up, the last game Pogba started for a club side was 23rd February 2022 for ourselves. Over a year since he last started a match for his club side. Looks like he's taken a leaf out of Phil Jones's book.
3.) 25 Mar 2023 17:11:18
Pogba most over rated footballer I’ve seen in my lifetime!
4.) 25 Mar 2023 17:42:14
Neh Maguire is worse.
5.) 25 Mar 2023 19:58:58
Awful 11 aside footballer. How he got so far is totally beyond me. Brilliant one in 10 games at most against average opponents. Injured or anonymous the remaining 9.
6.) 26 Mar 2023 03:28:49
NO. Pogba is a shoot football player because he is pecho frio.
7.) 26 Mar 2023 10:37:46
Would Pogba have played better with better players and a better manager? Yes but does it really matter, so would have matic/ herrera/ fellaini etc.
The only midfielder who wouldn't have improved is Bastian Schweinsteiger as he was a professional womens tennis watcher as opposed to a footballer by the time he joined.
8.) 26 Mar 2023 13:08:54
Who cares, he was a clown and we are well rid.
9.) 26 Mar 2023 13:14:34
Never dominated 1 game in his whole time here
Had a great 45 mins second half against City
Absolutely pathetic waste of space
Without a doubt Utd’s worst ever signing accounting for all the money wasted closely followed by Alexis Sanchez.
21 Aug 2022 15:50:15
I've always liked koulibaly as a defender, but today he may have paved the way for HM to move. that would be amazing ?.
{Ed014's Note - and you’ve moved off the bottom of the table!
1.) 21 Aug 2022 21:18:52
I am sure after tomorrow's battering we should be able to claim that spot back.
2.) 21 Aug 2022 22:27:30
Let's take a 5 nil battering and call out the positives, players telling us how deflated they feel, must learn from their mistakes bla blame, we'll put it right next match bla bla
Another embarrassing scoreline tomorrow and another failure to attack or score.
3.) 22 Aug 2022 04:22:41
I think we would do very well to get a draw out of this game. sad to say but true. A lot of rah rah always before this game by the players and managers but unfortunately this squad over the last 12 months has never showed up for a big game and wilts under pressure.
A bit amused by people like Rashford talking about this game, given his pathetic form and application when playing. Rooney is correct in his views.
4.) 22 Aug 2022 08:11:27
I think it's most likely we'll lose by 2 or 3 later but I don't rule a draw out. Liverpool aren't playing great by their high standards either.
5.) 22 Aug 2022 09:10:21
I am not going to watch the game. watched the first half of Brentford and ruined a pretty good weekend for me up until then:)
Hoping to see surprise result tomm and if not save myself the aggravation.
6.) 22 Aug 2022 11:24:25
I thought it was a Sunday game originally, and part of me was secretly relieved I was working. Bit disappointed when I found out it was on Monday, and I'm off ?.
7.) 22 Aug 2022 13:16:17
LOL
Honestly understand how you feel. I Want to tune in and watch but get so so disappointed recently when I watch us play, that I prefer to miss a good performance than watch a another horror show. Hard to stomach and believe.
8.) 22 Aug 2022 15:38:21
NC, I'll be doing the same. Can't tell you how many matches I've recorded in the past 5 years and deleted them without watching them. Also, can't remember the last time I've watched MOTD and enjoyed a United win.
9.) 22 Aug 2022 19:19:29
Sure, all us fans are masochists at heart ?.
10.) 22 Aug 2022 22:11:30
Well i am delighted and convinced i am a curse for the team when i watch. I was following the flow on live chat. Will watch it tomm. What an outstanding result. Proud of the team. Sounds like we played with heart, effort and were the better team. ???????????????.

On a free to a European team. elite European team? Imagine him at juve. or real Madrid or bayern? If he had a season or 2 with centre backs that are week in week out as good as varane and Martinez . or maybe better. he could be one of the best still. This guy has played out of his socks for us and for most part has had various managers, no real foundation defensive centres. for years n years. and a cb who until recently, was poor but couldn't be dropped (Harry m) .
With what he's had to deal with, he's phenomenal.
11 Jun 2023 13:23:59
Lindelof has done a great job this season. There is always a need for rotation and as long as he's happy to be a rotation player then he stays for me.
15 Apr 2023 02:47:28
Tielemans (spelling) get him. now while he's free.
15 Aug 2021 14:37:04
Thanku ed.
02 Aug 2021 18:49:11
Yes WRD i saw that. i'm just not holding my breath for PP to leave this summer. i'd love to sign saul regardless of the PP situation.

Spenno we have had some names but when they joined us none were at their peake. Jose at Chelsea first time would have been miles better for us. LVG a massive name in football. but we got him way after his best. Ole is a player legend, management career is nothing really. altho what he did with us in the PL with the team he had and the dressing room egos. he did amazing for us.
I would have liked conte. We've got no ronnie, no pogba so I think his psychotic ways would work with our team.
25 Apr 2024 22:29:36
He was reacting to how some of the cov fans were with him. Not all but some were proper giving jim rubbish, more than normal amount. So he simply "kissed his badge" sort of thing. No way he would have done that if not provoked.
25 Apr 2024 22:27:46
No doubt he loves UTD, he's excellent with the younger players, a real mentor. Its a shame he has the love that say Keane or any of the old guard but the grit and guile of a 4 year old whos ball has been taken.
24 Nov 2023 19:05:55
Rushford has an amazing first half of that season. then he disappeared. didn't martial have a 23 goal season yrs ago? We can't keep carrying players in hope of becoming great.
24 Nov 2023 19:04:20
Also. on the flip side. does the everton pts deduction set a precedent and city will also be punished.
