Hi Ed,

Could you confirm the two teams who have the bids accepted for Neymar jnr {Ed002's Note - It is not quite as simple as that but there are offers on the table from both Real Madrid and Barcelona. There would still be some considerable negotiation to be done but Santos has been pushed in to a corner and will almost certainly need to sell this summer. Santos are expecting a further offer this weekend.}

Die Red!

1.) 25 May 2013 11:15:41
Who are the other team expected to make an offer this weekend? {Ed002's Note - It is unimportant.}

2.) Are Santos expecting a bid from another team or a improved bid from Real or Barca ED02? {Ed002's Note - Another team.}

3.) Expecting a further offer? From who? If united got him it would be best signing the club's made since Denis Law. Can't see it though.

4.) Could be Monaco or PSG. Chelsea and City aren't interested anymore.

5.) I'm sorry but I don't rate Neymar, he's obviously got skill but the Brazilian league is not very good. Did you watch him play for Brazil against England? Practically non existent. Then the same again when Brazil played Russia at Stamford Bridge! I can see him being a massive flop, especially in the Prem because he's paper thin.

Why pay the same sort of money for him as you would for Bale when Bale is proven in the PL and superb at set pieces as well?

Ozwald

6.) Pep at bayern?

7.) 002, do you believe United have any interest in Neymar, and are likely to move for him? {Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath.}

8.) Forget about neymar he won't be at old traford end off!REDWILL

9.) Bayern Munich would be the other team.

Supasub

10.) Just saw this morning on Fox News that Neymar will sign with Barca. Could be announced as early as today (Saturday).

Ed002
I ain't bothered by vidal's reported statement.
has anything changed regarding our bid?

Thank you for your efforts!

Die Red!

{Ed002's Note - Nothing.}

Dear Ed002,
I don't bother about the rumoured deal for hummels in papers
But I read on the liverpool page we are trying very hard to get a deal done.
Just one question are we the only one intrerested.?
Do you think a deal can be done? As you told us
Quite rightly in the case of Shaw that the deal can be done!

Thanks for your efforts!

Die Red!

{Ed002's Note - Do not rule out interest from Barcelona or him staying in Dortmund.}

1.) 22 Jul 2014 17:22:13
Ed002 I know you don't like answering this
. yet can't helped being asked.
On a scale of 10 how would u rate our chances to sign him? Only asking because you
Mentioned on the scousers page we are trying very hard.
I accept irrespective of your view it may or may not be completed
Just your opinion.
thanx and cheers for the wonderful updates!

We all wait anxiously for your updates
Some more vocal and some laid back like me.
On an honest note. I would like to do your job?
someday when you retire anoint me your successor! Lol
cheers

{Ed002's Note - I am not going to get involved in this and am done with the subject now.}

Enough of transfer Madness. on a separate note!
Last year as we toiled along I waited for David moyes to become suddenly a better tactician as I pulled my hair out screaming at him to make a change or seeing no game plan whatsoever I still supported him. may be may be he would learn
He never did. from the gambler that fergie was to dithering Dave.
Louis Van Gaal may or may not have a golden Willie
But what he does have is an Amazing tactical brain. irrespective of what you folks say there is no fixed system
What there is/should be is the spirit to win, the passion the desire which makes him the perfect man to manage us.
I have never liked mourinho.
but there is one quality that absolutely no one can deny.
he gets his team to play for him every person gives his all on the pitch
Considering he learnt his trade from Van gaal.
Its going to be brilliant tactical battles us vs Chelsea.!
Yes we want to be champions
None of us know if we will or we won't
But one thing we know for sure. We will be feared we will be respected we are Manchester United! GGMU!

1.) One random decision does not change the fact that since the Spain game Holland have limped past 4 teams that they should have beaten comfortably.

I thing LVG is a good manager but he has done nothing at this world cup to improve that opinion.

2.) 06 Jul 2014 12:04:57
Costa Rica parked the bus and Navas and Gonzalez had the games of their careers. It should have been 6-0. Mexico weren't a shabby team and the Dutch struggled in the heat. Chile were a very good team and most people on here are desperate to sign their two best players. So I think your not giving enough credit to other teams. Fact remains their still in the semis. You can only beat what's in front of you and so far they have. he's created a united team all willing to run through walls. How often in the past have Dutch teams collapsed because of ego.

3.) Should have beaten comfortably? R7 Chile Mexico and Costa rica? Chile are one of the best teams in south America gave Brazil a run for there money Mexico played brilliant football
With the team Dutch have I am surprised they are in Semi finals
Costa rica kicked out Italy Uruguay and England
yet the average Dutch team should have beaten them confortbly.
The truth is other than RVP and robben and to an extent sneijder they don't have proven stars the rest are youngsters has beens and average players like vlaar
Lvg has made the best possible use of the squad in front of him with good tactical brilliance
I for one can't wait to see him manage us!

4.) 06 Jul 2014 12:26:01
Redseven,

Give over mate, no games are easy at the World Cup, they beat a tough Mexico side who almost beat Brazil and last night were by far the better team against Costa Rica who earlier in the tournament beat Uruguay and Italy.

The decision last night was a brilliant one, not random but planned, otherwise he would have used his 3 subs. Last season we had a manager scared to make a tough decision in any game any who appeared to have no plan. In each game lvgs plan is clear to see, even if it doesn't necessarily work for the full 120 minutes it can be adapted.

If you can't see that this is going to be a lot better than last season then you are never going to get it.

5.) Have you seen the Holland squad red seven. couple of top quality players and the rest good but not great. So that is the semi finals with an average team simply because he has made them work, adapted tactics and made winning the priority. I would take that next year.however he is getting the players he wants in so it will be win as a priority nut he will do it withflair.
I for one am massively excited

6.) 06 Jul 2014 13:29:31
You cannot say Costa Rica were a team that Holland should have beaten comfortably after they beat both Italy and Uruguay and drew with England. It doesn't matter about on-paper stats, they had built some great form and have a decent manager who knew what he was doing.

The signs of a winning team is to win even when you're not playing your best, holland could definitely win this world cup no doubt.

7.) Exactly GDS there is the plan that's there. there is a counter plan if one doesn't work. And its about the team with a few flair players. average players we have aplenty fergie's best attribute was getting the best out of them. lvg cut from the same cloth? We will see. one thing for sure we will be focused with a plan unlike last year. or fergie's last couple of years. where Sir Alex won us the games with his sheer strength of will!

8.) This is pretty much the same Dutch team that made it to the Final of the last World Cup; only with a group of young players who everybody on here seems to think are worthy of playing for Manchester United (I've seen people saying that they'd like to see us sign at least 10 of their players over the past month). Sneijder's probably not playing as well as he was four years ago but RVP and Robben are playing considerably better.

Holland have played some of the ugliest football I've ever seen from a Dutch team at this World Cup and were it not for Arjen Robben (and to an extent his diving) they would have been out already. To be honest I'd be much more optimistic about next season watching Holland lose playing good football rather than win playing long diagonals and relying heavily on luck and Arjen Robben's diving!

9.) 06 Jul 2014 19:17:30
I bet Sunday lunch is a hoot around your house red seven. You would prefer him to have got knocked out so you could be more confident, absolutely crazy.

We need a manager with a winning mentality with teams that can win even if not playing at their best. Seems like you aren't going to change your mind, but maybe watch last nights game again and the chances that holland created in all different ways and coming from different positions.

Good point about it being the same team as last time so it is really easy, don't Spain have the same team as last time? They didn't do too badly did they?

10.) Holland don't have the same team as last world cup at all! Their entire defense is different; the only players who remain are Robben, RVP, Sneijder, De Jong, and Kuyt.

11.) Ruud -

Starting line-up for the 2010 final and their ages now and then;

Maarten Stekelenburg (27/31)
Gregory van der Wiel (22/26)
John Heitinga (26/30)
Joris Mathijsen (30/34)
Giovanni van Bronckhorst (35/39)
Mark van Bommel (33/37)
Nigel de Jong (25/29)
Arjen Robben (26/30)
Wesley Sneijder (26/30)
Dirk Kuyt (29/33)
Robin van Persie (26/30)

The only players they've really lost to age are Mathijsen, Van Bronkhorst and Van Bommel. The rest are arguably around the age they should be in their prime and the fact that they are not playing for their country would suggest that the players that are are better, no? Or are you suggesting that LVG opted not to take his best players with him?

Fellaini giving a very good performance against Belgium! I couldn't believe it he was driving forward with the ball.?! What do you guys think? No future? Or an important role? Even though not a starter?

Die Red!

1.) Squad player, used mainly filling in as a box to box midfielder. The fact that we have a new manager who did not pay the ridiculous fee for Fellaini is a good thing as he will not be under the same pressure to play him as Moyes was/would have been.

2.) Come on gentlemen, this is South Korea, hardly top opposition. Dembele is actually running the show in the middle. I think Fellaini plays well when linked with Witsel, a good combination in my book.
He's a squad player at best. No way is he a centre back. I've never really rated him but he'll have a better season this time around. Couldn't be any worse.
Good to see Adnan get a start.

3.) Personally I think Fellaini needs to be played as an aggressive attacking player. Maybe consider him as a front player who can hold the ball up whilst flying wingers get it off of him.
Maybe he could replace Rooney in the striker ranks for those games when a bit of rough and tumble is needed.
Crazy thinking.I know!

Yeah we did! We were on the ropes, we rode our luck, but we beat Juve away. The team the conceded none concedes twice in 4mins. Not getting carried away but we needed such a boost. We didn't play bad, just gulf in quality of the players in either side showed in terms of the Juventus gmaeplay. Looking forward to the derby now! Let's keep it going!

Damn darv, reading your post I feel we finished 6. We didn't finish 2nd because we were oucky? We were deary to watch and frustrated the rubbish out of me in many matches, but there is a reason we finished 2nd ahead of the "great" scousers, "brilliant" spurs. The thing is we are also going to improve, get your head out of where ever your hiding it. We might not win it again next year or we very well. might, but moaning on even before June over a midfielder we didn't have any damn interest in. Been here for 7 years and now I see more and more toxic fans or may be kids who are just wanting every shint new player.
Rant over!

Ed002,
Since Barcelona has a transfer ban and as you said hummels wanted the barca move
Where does he move to?
Man Utd?
Barca? Don't see how
any one else?
Thanks!

Die Red!

{Ed002's Note - I have explained about the Barcelona move not happening and I have explained the interest of MU. Why is this so difficult for you to understand?}

Beast you are worried?
Really?
What should we do fire him too?
what the hell is wrong with our fans?
last year half of the crowd was after moyes from the moment he was appointed.
this iyear the half that hated moyes backing lvg.
and the rest either being dreamy or being in denial.
The truth is ever since the 08 champions league we have been going downwards. we have been winning but being rubbishty predictable and very very bad. but the genius and the fear of Sir Alex kept the half of teams from beating us.
We are not a top 4 team yet. building team takes time. I was prepared to give moyes time. atleast to remove the deadwood. but he didnt. was punished. lvg has atleast tried to do that. it takes time.
i don't get the point some people make that we know people that players are rubbish. so you walk into a nrewly appointed job go there and tell every one around you. that . hey I have been here a day. but I know your rubbish? that's not how it works is it? Lvg may or may not be the saviour but there is no bloody point saying OH I Am worried!
Seriously!
over and out!
